I grew up in the Russian Federation (although perhaps it's best to word that as I lived there for the first 22 years of my life as some may argue I haven't really grown up yet...ha ha!), but I came to Canada for higher education. Before that I have visited America many times, and I do not have anything against anyone from other cultures...I don't have any issues with Americans either. I do not treat others with hostility based on where they are from because I sometimes receive stereotypical or inappropriate cultural remarks about my accent or just the fact that I am from the Russian Federation. As one may imagine, even those people clearly are narrow-minded to make such comments, I still feel offended. I do not want to make anyone feel the way that I feel after something like that is said; so, I don't have resentment towards anyone just because they are American or any other nationality.
(However, I don't mind "dumb questions" that people sometimes ask me when they find out that I am Russian. I know there are stereotypes about many cultures, and some people just can't sort out what is fact. I answer the question happily because sometimes false stereotypes are taken for fact.)

Because they wrongly assume that all USA people are hawks. I know this isn't true, but every land has hawks, and the USA is the most powerful organism on the planet, so it's got a very high profile. I'm personally inspired by many people and things from the USA - I do however worry about the administration's gleeful domination of the world. a bit like Britain a hundred or so years ago. More people have just as good reasons to hate "the Brits".

I'm Canadian and do not hate the USA. A lot of Canadians are anti-American though but what they mean by that as they drive their American cars, to go to the theater to watch American movies while eating American snacks like popcorn and Snickers bars is they hate white redneck conservative yahoos who love war.
They tend to lump ALL Americans in as that. Most of them only encounter "real-life" Americans as loudmouthed Midwestern walking land whale tourists.
This is where it all comes from. Most Americans I've met and worked with are nice, friendly, intelligent and helluva lot more worldwise than Canadians I know. But that would pop that illusionary bubble up here, if I told them.
Face it, the masses in any nation are stupid and cannot differentiate between the individual and the government. Nature of the beast. I'm sure the "world" hated Britain, or Rome, or Greece, or the USSR when they ruled over much of it. The powerful nations get that.

They hate Americans because Americans think they are better than everyone else. Americans also meddle in the affairs of other countries when they are not welcomed. America doesn't care about its own people, just the people of other countries who they can make money off of. I don't hate all Americans some are reall good people, Just the arrogant ones which seem to be the majority of your country. America needs to fix its own problems before trying to tell the world what to do.

They are jealous we have so many more rights and privileges that they do not have! I think that they might be sad like when one child has nice things and dose not share with another child. The one with out usually feels sad, not as special, jealous, and left out. The other usually feels special, sometimes better than, and privileged. We have so much and they have so little and that is also why so many people want to live here.

It's probably because Americans in general still see things as right and wrong. For most everyone else, anything goes unless it happens to impact them personally.

You got that wrong. A minority of so-called foreigners hate us. Many countries have nothing against the us. In fact, in many countries we are treated well. You are always going to have a few people who hate us (because we are foreigners to them). There are groups in this country that hate foreigners so why shouldn't there be people who hate us? Onlyu natural.
