I'm about to go to college and my mom is being real strict about how I dress and what I do. I dress like a boy now and she wants me to wear girl clothes. She she does this because she dosen't want people to think I am gay. She says people will not like me if they think I am gay and will tease me. I am gay, but she dosen't know. I don't like her trying to change me but, I feel I have to listen to her because I am still living with her until I go to college. What should I do to get her to stop changing the way I am? Should I tell her that I am gay? I will be going to college with my sister who will tell on me in a second if she found out I was gay.

It might be better for you to tell her now, rather than she find out through some one else. It'll probably be a shock that she might not handle well at first, but I'm sure she loves you and will come to accept the Truth.

I dress in boys clothes. I know other girls who do, both gay and straight. But I live in a very exceptin area. I don't know where you are going to school at or anything, but there are a lot of places where you will find people really don't care.
As for your mom, my mom was the same way. I just told her I don't care what people think. I told her I dress in what feels comfortable to me and functional to me. I like that I do not have to carry a purse with me. I like that my pants are not tight. This is comfortable.
Good luck with you mom and college. I hope that you find really great and accepting friends early on to support you.

Stand up to your mother. Your mom will love you no matter what. It doesn't matter if you are gay and it makes you no different from people. If you would feel better to tell her once you are in college that would be fine. But you are going to have to tell her and if you don't then maybe your sister will if she finds out. You just have to plan a moment to have a heart to heart talk with your mother.

A lot of people who go to college just dress for comfort.boys clothes girls clothes,sweats when its cold and jeans and T-shirts when it hot. doesn't mean anything having to do with being gay or not. I'm not gay and wore comfort clothes according to the weather and my time. It's going to work that you need to worry about how you dress.

just sit her down, and tell her that she should let you dress the way you want to, tell her you feel more comfortable dressing like this. and then if that dont work then tell her mom. IM GAY.

Tell your Mom. She prob'ly already knows but is just thinking it's a phase untill you tell her you are a lesbian, bi, gay, or whatever. College is a good starting new point, so it would be a good time to come out.

my mom also use to make we wear jeans for the college but i always carry mini skirt with myself and change them on my way!!

tell her she all ready thinks your gay already.it cant any so just tell her and if she finds out from your sister it would probably hurt.i hope this help and good luck
