If God is all powrfull and infinitely kind how is it he create such an unhappy and imperfect world?

Either he did not want to create a just, happy world, in which case he is not infinitely kind, or he could not, on which case he is not all powerful.
And if it was because he wanted to test man, he is not only not all knowing, but also incredibly cruel to inflict on us so much suffering for so long. Would you do that to your own children, to punish them for some disobedience or to test their love of you?

Is it not time we consigned all ideas of God to mythology?

What was Jesus's teaching on celibacy? Did He teach that celibacy was holier than realtions with women?

Did Jesus teach that sexuality was good or bad? If God is andrognynous, why did He give man and woman sexuality?

If I, as an atheist, protested the gay pride parade, would you be offended?

I don't have a problem with the gay pride parade so much as the naked men who show off and point to their genetalia,

so, since I'm an atheist, would that offend you, i'm not quoting a bible or any such nonsense, and since i dont have a religion im not forcing my religion on anyone,

i would just hold up a sign that says

I PROTEST NAKED MEN IN PUBLIC

Who's job is it to save someone?

We Christians are charged with executing witnessing and giving testimony and living lifes as examples of Christ-like lives. My question is do you think we (Christians) are charged with saving persons? I am of the believe and knowledge that the only things we can do is what I have stated and pray for that person who is not saved. It is the Lord's work to do the rest.

Nonbelievers this does not "let you off the hook" so to speak - You still have the God-given authority to turn away. You can't say God didn't come and get me so whatever. I think I may have irritated some Christian's with that comment...

What would Christians do if they discovered that God is fake? What would Atheist do if God is real?

Most Christians would refuse to believe that god is fake no matter how much proof Atheists come up with.

Atheists would probably say God is evil because of his lack of positive actions and hs effort to commit evil actions and not worthy of being worshiped

Why do you believe in God?

I do too, but not the God that is leading our lives, but is only observing. Why does he (in your eyes) allow wars, poverty, drugs
murders of inocent? Why do you believe that almighty God what let anything like that happen, and this is a question for both Christians and Muslims. How does your religion explain these issues. Of course, everyone else is welcome to answer, as well.

what should i do about my life if i'm gay and live in a country where gays are hated, beaten and even killed?

no one knows i am gay.. and people treat gays like criminals or terrorists.. they don't understand that people don't choose to be gay... it's just who i am..i don't choose to feel attracted to the same sex.. i have no control over this.. i think it is a sickness which cannot be cured unfortunately.. i don't know what to do.. to tell my parents, friends? my life will be over.. they all will hate me.. to try seek asylum or immigrate to a civil country? i don't know.. live my whole life like this, hiding and acting? it's a nightmare... by the way, can i apply for a political asylum in the U.S.? would you h elp me to move? if i get a citizenship in a civil country i will at least be able to escape prosecutions and be able to tell everyone who i am... i don't know... i feel so lonely.. maybe i just should kill myself and all problems will be resolved..

Look at any sitcom about a married white couple - the white woman character is always beautiful and knows everything and the white guy is some fat slob idiot?? why is it always shown like this??

Who thinks abortion is o.k., not o.k.?

I wouldn't do it personally, but as I have gotten older I am less judgemental. It is easy for ppl to say you shouldn't do that, but they wouldn't be the one raising the child. On the other hand, my oldest brother was adopted and he thanks my mom for not killing him.

If a homeless man is standing in the corner looking up at the sky and speaking bible verses, everyone looks at him and condems him as crazy, a loony. Why is that, shouldn't it be said that he knows the way and is going to heaven instead of condeming him as crazy?

If reincarnation is not real, then what the heck are we even DOING here? Why is anything worth the effort?

I believe in the continuous evolution of the soul on many levels of existance. If one does not believe there is anything after one dies then isn't it all just a waste of time and effort? If you are Paris Hilton life is one big party but most of the world does
not fall into that catagory. We have an inherent desire to exceed our former achievements because we have a destiny to fullfill and no one can do exactly what it is we are assigned

What do you do when a friend doesn't want to listen to what you have to say?

Just a little while ago my friend and I had a serious arguement, I thought things were cool but they were not, she has been going through some changes and I can understand that. I wanted to make things right with me and her but she doesn't want to talk about anything. She doesn't want to listen to reason as well as try to understand where another person is coming from.
I am getting tired of her tirades, her judgemental attitude and as well as her don't care attitude. I have washed my hands of it because it is not worth all of the problems that she is going through for me to go through it with her. So the question is what should I do when she doesn't want to listen to anybody and try to understand? Because I have tried to make my peace with it and to move on, The second thing should I stop being friends with her knowing how I feel about her as well? Please give me some good answers and nothing negitive please Thanks!

How did everything come about? I dont know. I guess god did it. I'm too stupid and lazy to think about any other possibilities. It's too hard. oops. Did I just doubt god? I better stop thinking like this before god catches me and sends me to hell.
