I have seen it many times on tv that when some Americans travel abroad they expect the locals to speak English. Although many of those locals are able to commuicate slightly, they are often called names sush as stupid and ignorant for not speaking English Fluently. Are they suppose to take English classes so they communicate with foriegners or is it the pther way around.

Seriously, all they do is repeat the same meaningless catch phrases and platitudes. If you try to get a real conversation out of them, they just fall back on quoting scripture instead of trying to use their own brains.

I wish there was a way to put these walking brainfarts on ignore.

i posted a question a hour ago and i got a few answers i was looking for, but people are mostly trying to teach me how to refer to god. So tell me, i referred to him earlier as the "christain god". am i missing something .... when in history did marriages actually start taking place ? because if memory serves me well there were no marriage ceremonies in biblical times but simply a joining of people ?
im not too well read on this so perhaps someome can inform me better
because i see so many questions relating to remaining celebate before marriage in referance to the bible

A so-called Christian "discipleship" course has been axed from Dartmoor Prison after it was adjudged to be homophobic and not in line with "diversity policies".

There are dozens of similar courses running in other prisons – all of them fundamentalist in nature and, of course, homophobic. They should all be cleared out – including the Alpha Course. Why should these groups be allowed to proselytise among people who are at an extremely vulnerable time in their life? I remarried after 7 months. My late wife and I were getting a divorce when she was diagnosed with lung cancer and died 6 weeks later. I stayed with her until the end and I was with her at the moment she died, the rest of her family was not around to be there with her.

6 months later I met a woman that is everything that I ever wanted. We got married. Now the anniversary of my wifes death is coming in a few days and I am feeling very guilty about getting married again.

What if I said scientifically life starts at the day of conception, and I think killing life after it starts is wrong and therefor I want it illegal.
