Either Shaanxi Earthquake, 1556 or Tangshan earthquake, 1976, both in China, killed approximately 250.000 to 800.000 people.

I don't know enough about World History, but I believe the deadliest day in U.S. History was the Battle of Antietam (also known as Sharpsburg) during the Civil War. 3,654 confirmed deaths in a single day; nearly 20,000 casualties altogether.

Well the deadliest day was the atom bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 9th August 1945.
That was the worst and the most deadliest day of human history.
