Maybe God is all powrfull(sic) but created a world that includes us imperfect beings, thereby making the world imperfect. Maybe it ISN'T time we consigned all ideas of God to mythology.

I do believe God is all powerful and infinite. God did not create an unhappy world and imperfect. We did. We made the world the way it is. We as humans are not perfect we were only created in his image. God will guide us. Not do the hard work for us. I believe what you put out there is what you get back. So, if are negative and you put out negative things. That is all you are going to get back. As far as testing us God does not test us. The bible says when you are put on this earth you are guaranteed days of trouble. So I feel some of the trials I go through, are life lesson for me to learn from. To make me a better person and hopefully share with other so they can learn also.

To answer your questions God is all powerful...Omnipotent, Omnipresent etc. He is a compassionate and loving God, however, he is also a Righteous Judge therefore it is not possible for him to be infinitely kind...loving yes, but as a loving parent must discipline a child with love so God must discipline his children. As a parent I must discipline my children so that they learn from their mistakes and can grow up to be a good person. Also so that some dangerous mistakes are halted so that they do not further harm themselves. As a parent I love my child no less when they are good or bad but I must help them to make good choices. I do not enjoy punishing them but do so out of love and concern for their well being. God created us to have free will so that we had the ability to make our own choices but that freedom to choose does not mean that if we choose unwisely there are no consequences to our choices. mankinds unwise choices introduced unhappiness and suffering into the world and unfortunately each generation must endure the suffering for generations past.

You have not seen the World that God created, Yet. If you are still looking at things with the natural eyes, you are still seeing the sub-creation. Take a step of faith and ask God if He is real to show you a glimps of the real World. You will be amazed how deceived you have been. Love and peace, The Rev.

There are several different answers to this question. According to one of the biblical stories on the creation of man (there are three, I believe, and several variations of each) man was living in a perfect world, but by disobeying god he was cast out of this perfect world in the harsh world as punishment.
Others say he is testing us...not for his sake, but for us to prove to ourselves that we are ready to enter heaven.
Some say he is trying to mold us into a higher form.
There is always the free will theory...we make the world as we see it, and we can improve it if we so choose.
The ideal that we are to focus more on the inner, and less on the outer trappings of the world, has been put forth, and having a cruel world is one way to accomplish this.
Certain people point out that we create our gods in our own image, and yes, there are quite a few people that would treat their own children so.
Evolutionists point out that they have actual evidence that we evolved, and weren't created.

God gives us what ever we want.
If we want something different we need to change our mind about the world we see around us.
When we do God gives us that new world instead.
Each of us gives the world all the meaning that it has for us.
I see the world as a just, happy world. I also see a peaceful and loving world.
One of us must be living in a delusion.
I'd much rather have mine than yours.

Ok. Think for a second. If there were peace and harmony for everybody, that would be boring.
Look at your bible one more time, dude. You will see that it is riddled with chaos, mayhem, and most notably WARS. As a matter of fact the book of Revelations forecasts the fall of Rome. Especially anywhere the number 7 is mentioned, referring to the 7 hills of Rome.

God created ALL, in which left unimpeded IS in perfect harmony. Man is a monkey with potential. Humans are monkeys with awareness of the divine gift of Free Will. Willfulness with disregard of others; is Mans doing. NOT GOD'S!

God did create a Happy and perfect world, but Satan tempted Eve and sin came into the world. Man caused the first sin and still does to this day. Man brings upon himself misery and pain. God didnt cause 911, man did.. Your debt and marriage problems is not caused by God. I aint saying you have any of these troubles but that because of our poor choices in life we cause our on problems.

God gave us free will. Only we can change things if we don't like them. If he stopped us from ever making mistakes then
we would never grow. Every parent knows that you have to
let children fall down but eventually they will walk fine.
People and societies learn from their mistakes (hopefully)
which is why it is said that those who do not learn from the
past are destined to repeat it. We are seeing the fall of the
Roman Empire again here in the USA now.
