Look at any sitcom about a married white couple - the white woman character is always beautiful and knows everything and the white guy is some fat slob idiot?? why is it always shown like this??

I don't know but it really bothers me. It teaches us all subconsciously that what's normal in a married home is to be combative, nit-picky, sarcastic and that it's ok to undermine each others authority in front of the kids. I know that married life is going to have its frustrations, that couples are going to disagree, etc, but if we take all the sitcoms at face value, then its ok to be totally disrespectful to each other, etc.
I want to rant some more, but I'll spare you all.
I want to know how such fat idiotic lazy men catch women like that anyway...

You're watching the wrong shows. Try watching C.S.I. On the shows that are suppose to be funny, the guys are made to look like idiots to make the viewing audience laugh at the stupid situations some guys get themselves into.

Uh.... That's not always true. Look at "That 70's Show" for an example of the oposite. They're ALL idiots, and that's what makes the show funny.
