Why can't I wear my slippers out-doors without inviting ridicule? I particularly like the old-fashioned variety, especially those made of corduroy or wool. They are very comfy and cheap and I think they look great! At present, I have a pair of corduroy slip-on shoes which I wear to work at the office. Not quite carpet slippers, but I hope to soon! Does anyone else like wearing their slippers outside or to work?

I'm moving into a different apartment tomorrow. The people that run my old apt. complex have been nothing but incompitent (sp?), never did a thing for us--several emergency type things that we had to fix ourselves, etc. We're supposed to pay all the July rent even though we're moving out mid-month. If we dont pay it, what kind of trouble will we be in? Normally they'd evict us, but we're already leaving & already got accepted at the new place. I know we'll lose our security deposit but that was only $99 (much less than a months rent). Do you think they'll sue us or will it be cheaper for them to cover the month of rent (about $550)? We live in Ohio if it matters. Thanks!

Isn't there a scripture that talks about God turning his back after Christ died? Maybe that's why society is so screwed up?
Maybe God turned his back and isn't going to look at us again until judgement day? Maybe he can't bare to watch?


I just don't see God's judgement like I hear about in the old testiment. And I don't see people getting
close to God like I hear about in the old testiment. What do you think?

It seems as if everything we see has a price these days. Even land masses are claimed by nations' boundaries. Our favoritism of precious items, such as gold, have been the driving force to currency. If we didn't find shiny, rare objects to be valuable would money still exist? Could society function properly without it? What do you think?

By this I mean have any of you ever been pronounced clinically dead but were revived? However, during the time of being "dead" you caught a glimpse of Heaven, got to stay awhile before being revived? What were your experiences, what was it like? If you used to fear death, do you fear it no longer due to this experience? A friend of mine needs free Christian Gospel of John or little Bibles to hand out to some friends in her neighbourhood who have asked her about God and about the Bible(just to get them started). Anybody know of any websites where you can send away for some? Thanks everybody!☺
