Actually, his name was originally God Van Damme, but Jean Claude (who was obviously possessed by Satan) sued him for identity theft.

This is because Satan would love nothing more than to have even God's name viewed as something profane, rather than holy. He tempts people to use God's name in unholy manners and it's a very easy temptation to fall into for a lot of people.
