I find it strange that anyone could possibly think sex is wrong. Sex is the most natural thing in the world. The problem, it seems to me, is that humans think. And humans do not always think rationally. Humans allow things like jealousy and other negative emotions to influence their thinking. Animals don't think about the rightness/wrongness of sex... and that to me seems more like the "innocence" that humans supposedly lost after the "original sin" thing.
Also, sex is inherently a very powerful motivator of human behavior, and religion is about controlling behavior. Therefore, lots of religions seem to demonize sex or restrict it. Sex... the real thing... with someone you love... seems to me to be the best form of worship there is. But I wouldn't personally criticize even just the sex for pleasure thing, as long as you are smart and safe about it.
More than anything, sex is complicated... and people don't always like complication, so they try to make that go away. Get over it, people... it's just sex.

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, man was evolving. When the time came to develop a larynx and brain, man turned half of his creative, sexual energy upward, and needed another half to create new bodies--thus were the sexes formed.
There were a certain class of Angelic beings who had fallen behind their brethren in evolution. They needed to experience what only a physical body could give them, yet they had no way of producing one. So they spoke to the women of the time through their imaginations and convinced them to misuse the sex force whenever they wanted to use it, rather than at the right times under the guidance of the higher angelic beings.
This is what the bible calls the fall of man. And to this day, to misuse the sex force at inappropriate times, and especially for physical gratification causes all sorts of ills among mankind.
So, yes, sex is natural, but when we are poor stewards of the creative force we have been given, we pay the consequences. When we once again learn that the physical pleasure involved with sex is meant to prod the race on to survival and is not an end in itself, and when we once again govern our sexual drives instead of being governed by them, and when we use our creative force for the good of all mankind instead of selfish gratification, then mankind will make great spiritual advances.
The force that enslaves is the force that liberates.

Casual sex has emotional baggage that can be damaging to one or both participants mental health. One night stands also lead to the spread of diseases. Some STD's can be spread even if condoms are worn.
I don't see sex as a "gift", but more a responsibility that mature people can share with each other if they respect each other and understand fully the consequences of their actions.

Many factors come into this. In the United States, society generally has considered sex somewhat taboo. This is propagated through disease, religion, politics, etc.
In other countries, people are more comfortable with sex. It is interesting that they can see a naked body and not see it in a sexual way.
You are correct. Sex is totally natural. As animals, the goal of sex is to procreate, however humans are the only animal who has sex for pleasure as well (Isn't also interesting that humans are also the only animal that kill for pleasure (sport hunting)?).
I see that US society is slowly getting out of the sexual taboo again. I feel though that people (in general) in the US will never be 100% comfortable with sex. People do need to be careful of diseases. Many people are just insecure with the subject because of their own insecurities.

I dont know many one night stands that were a magical experience good sex for sexs sake but in no way were they spiritual or fulfilling on any level except the basest level ,might as well be dogs shagging in the street. It is natural and normal but the way society is going sex is a commodity to be bought and sold and thats slavery.

You are correct!! Sex is natural and an awesome gift. I think the bad rap is from religion getting in the way. The Bible says go forth and multiply and then in the same breath says sex is a sin. We need to start thinking for ourselves and put religion in it's rightful place.........stories written by humans.

some say that sex is indeed a very special gift as it leads to a spiritual fulfillment.a man while having a sexual contact with a woman finds himself in a peculiar mood which puts him on a whole new level of knowledge.personally, I couldn't say whether sex is good or wrong but it surely is something vital.

God created it so that we may participate in the creation process. It is a blessing, but should be maintained in a marriage relationship. If sex were evil we would not have the Song of Solomon. That's some pretty interesting reading.

Yes, it is a wonderful gift and it is not sinful in itself. But God did mean for it to be shared between a man and a woman who are married to each other. God didn't make it that way to be a killjoy. He made it that way to protect us from STD's, unwanted pregnancies, inbreeding, and a whole bunch of other things. So I'm waiting until I'm married because sex is a wonderful thing that is worth waiting for. I'm worth waiting for and whoever my future husband is, is probably worth waiting for, too.
