A friend of mine needs free Christian Gospel of John or little Bibles to hand out to some friends in her neighbourhood who have asked her about God and about the Bible(just to get them started). Anybody know of any websites where you can send away for some? Thanks everybody!☺
If anybody knows of any places that have cheap little Bibles that would be appreciated too!

They are not free - BUT - they are very affordable. They sell handouts, affordible Bibles for the purpose of giving out and so forth.

Maybe your friend can get together with her friends and get the money together to purchase them and hand them out.

Go to www.chick.com and look through the "Tracts" section; by clicking on a tract's name, you can actually read it online. There are tracts in many different languages available. They're not free, but they're quite affordable.

None summarize the Gospel of John, per se, but there are several that succinctly, yet powerfully, provide a gospel message. I use these tracts every day and wholeheartedly recommend:

* The Empty Tomb
* The Greatest Story Ever Told
* Creator or Liar?
* Sin Busters
* It's Your Life! (African-american characters) or
* This Was Your Life! (Caucasian characters)

Others I like:

* Who Was Allah? (Used to be called Allah Had No Son)* Men of Peace (debunks the lie that "Islam is a religion of peace")
* The Beast (shows what will happen during the Tribulation -- scary!)
* Love the Jewish People

Some of Chick's tracts are too "preachy" for my taste, and some are even hateful (IMHO). As with any tract, you must use discernment.

Peace and love in Jesus.

Try getting some from the Gideons. They're the people that go around and put Bibles in hotel rooms and give out those little tiny New Testaments and books of John at fairs and stuff.

A group of good people modernised the entire bible and leave it in the public domain, meaning you can get and distribute it for free without asking anyone.
