The last day of his life Moses dropped a bombshell
imaging being the childen of the people led out of Egypt and hearing Moses final address to you the day he knew he would die

In Deuteronomy
" Moses summoned all the Israelites and said to them:
... to this day the LORD has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. ...

Imaging how this might stick in your mind.

I understand Jeremiah the prophet promised a new covenant where God woul give a new heart and God would give His people a heart to fear Him. I can see how this is fullfilled in Jesus.
How would it be fulfilled in any other

How do modern Jewish people who do not believe in Jesus take Jeremiah's prophesy. Clearly it was important to Moses and Jeremiah and Jeremiah said it was NOT LIKE the covenant made when they were led out of Egypt

Jeremiah
"I will give them a heart to fear Me"

I was thinking about this a few hours ago, and I've seen that another user has pipped me to it:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avxv1kOo5nqUiXBtNMyFb03zy6IX?qid=20060705094725AAHBIK4

So mine is a little different. If you believe in God, do you believe that God would hear the prayers of those who don't believe in God? And would he answer them?

Please don't just respond with "Why would someone who doesn't believe in God pray to God?" - it's not a very illustrative answer...

The Bible descibes the world ending with an antichrist coming to rule the world before Jesus comes to save Christians. most scientists believe that the world will end when the sun dies.

I'm 20 and am extremely annoyed with the fact that I've wasted a great deal of my life just dreaming and not doing. I remember being 13 and not wanting to grow up; it's in my journal that I was freaking out about becoming 14. This has been a trend since. I'm now bettering myself and just forcing my *** to live stronger, fuller, and more versatile. How about you? If you could start your life all over again knowing the life lessons that you've learned so far, would you do it?

the bible was not written by god! god did not just point a finger toward the earth and magical summoned a book and told everybody to believe everything in there. even if king james did write the bible, be reasonable, after 3-4 thousand years somebody had to rewrite the bible. there is no way that some king or high priest is going to preach something he does not believe and of course will change whatever he wants to change. the bible was written by a man or men who decided what he/they wanted in it. also there is more than one religion, STOP trying to convert everybody!

thank you

cause i think pray is like mind power.. a deep psychological power..
as when i'm in fear, unconfidence, as a reaction into it sometimes i pray.. but i don't worship God since my definition of God is a bit different.. cause i believe God is all and all are God..
i see the power in praying is in ourselves not because outer power..
it's like a mental power, like motivation..

and so when people are in troubles, when one's family in sick, when we see people dying in war.. i sometimes pray.. but not asking God to help them.. it's just like sharing our deepest empathy..

cause i believe we have the power... or in other word God is in all of us..

How can so many of you sit and desecrate a religion that you truly know nothing about? It seems that Christianity is the most hated religion on here so do you think that there is a reason? For those of you writing sarcastic and rude remarks I must ask you if you have ever read the bible, new or old testament? If not, you need to ask yourself what is causing you to hate Christianity so much more than the other religions. Don't be afraid to research your answers!

Instead of throwing stones at eachother's religions, why don't we explore the genesis of each? have just read some interesting facts about the genesis of Christianity that make my head spin.
This is not in reference to the biblical Genesis, but the dictionary definition of the word.

I asked a question earlier and someone accused me of being a heretic and another was for some reason under the assumption that all of christianity accepts the trinity idea. Here's the thread, if you wanna see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am6tBfcplFzZKw__5q0fXFrsy6IX?qid=20060705075254AAPcImD
So a few questions, out of curiosity...
If you believe in the trinity, do you know the history of the doctrine?
Do trinitarians study it from all viewpoints and make up their own mind, or only accept it because it's what they've always been taught?
Oh yeah lol... do you think I'm a heretic? Sorry, had to throw that one in there! hehe...
Seriously though, please only answer my questions, and I do not need an explaination of the trinity so don't go there.
And please be respectful!

The James Randi Educational Foundation offers a million dollar prize to anyone who can demonstrate psychic powers or paranormal phenomena under controlled conditions. (http://www.randi.org/research/index.html)

Rest assured, the money is real and free for the taking for anyone with demonstrable psychic powers. If you're psychic, and you didn't know about this prize before, will you claim it now?
