What's so special about a Doctor's wife?
Assuming your question is simply, "Can a wife love a person other than her husband?" the answer is yes. She can love her Mother, her Father, her children, her God, her best friend, etc...
Now, "Can a wife be IN LOVE with a person other than her husband?" is a different question. She should not and if it happens then the marriage is in a world of hurt.

What does being a doctors wife have to do with anything? I certainly hope she can love other people, like her family, friends, and children. If you're talking romantic love, then the same answer applies, what does being a docs wife have to do with it? And yes, I think that she can love another person romantically. In fact, many people do. HOWEVER, the key is not acting on those feelings and devoting more time and attention to your marriage, rather than the fantasy you've created.

Do you think that being a doctor's wife makes someone a superhuman? Even if the husband thinks so?
Once D'sW realizes that her husband's profession (which is most likely writing prescriptions for often useless chemicals) does not make her any different, it will become obvious that yes, she can love anyone she wants to.
And, as with her husband, so with her- if she makes a terrible mistake, there WILL be consequences.

Anyone can fall in love with someone other than who they are with, why would a doctor's wife be any different? Your question is worded in a fashion that would not place blame, I'm assuming that you mean you. If you are married and in a monogamous relationship it is never right to cheat on your husband.
