And do they really?

No they don't.

You know why evolutionists (who do have a lot of legitimate scientific evidence and just have their theories mixed up) think that life just kind of happened from stuff mixing together in the ground and evolving?

Consider the following (capitalizations added): Gen. 1:11 Then God said, "Let the LAND produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The LAND produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

etc.

Gen. 1:24 And God said, "Let the LAND produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Hmm... think about that for a moment...

Could we all agree that God caused the land to produce living things?

Of course they do. You can beleive in a sort of liberal religion that doesn't insist that your holy book is 100% accurate and then science and religion can get along jsut fine. But if you insist that some book that is 2,000 or 3,000, or 1,200 yrs old is 100% accurate, you will contradict science.

The Quran (muslims book) doesn't contradict with science.

Because the Quran doesn't say that the Earth is about 6000 years old, the Quran doesn't contradict with the Big Bang theory. Th Quran says that humans don't have free will and every thing in Earth is predetermined. Quran doesn't contradict with science, if people read Quran and understand it.

Some people like to disbelieve in any religion simply because it makes them feel more unique. It doesn't make them feel so crappy about their own lives. Wouldn't it take more faith to believe we all just came froma big primordial goop than to believe there is a higher being? I believe science buttresses religion, rather, a higer power. Some people are spiteful of their position in life and believe there is no 'God' figure because if there was, why would there life be so bad? I don't kow. Everyone has their own reasons. I have yet to hear any decent arguments.

Yes, they do. The Bible says the Earth is about 6000 years old. Science says it's between 4 and 6 billion years old.

No, they don't always contradict. But where they differ mainly is in a faith based system. Most scientists are secular humanists and do not believe in God or creation, hence their urgent need to try and prove evolution. Creationists believe God at His word and place their faith in Him, not self or mankind.
