What seperates us from Jesus Christ in a big way is the fact that He was born a virgin birth. He is God incarnate as no one can become. How could He take away the sins of the world if He wasn't God? When you really think about it, it only makes sense to have God come down to become one of His creation and to prove His love by dying for us and our sins. We all know that that's what true love is.

Sometimes women are overly suspicious of their husbands. When Adam stayed out very late for a few nights, Eve became upset. "You're running around with other women," she charged.

"You're being unreasonable," Adam responded. "You're the only woman on earth." The quarrel continued until Adam fell asleep, only to be awakened by someone poking him in the chest.

It was Eve. "What do you think you're doing?" Adam demanded.

"Counting your ribs," said Eve.

1942
The United States government gives official recognition to the The Pledge of Allegiance, written in 1892 by socialist author Francis Bellamy.

1956, June 14: President Eisenhower signed a congressional resolution which added the words "under God" to the The Pledge of Allegiance. The last phrase now reads: '...one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.'

1943, June 14: Decided: West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette
The Supreme Court ruled 8-1 that a school district violated the rights of students by forcing them to salute the American flag.

What if you don't believe in God? Children are forced to say this!

I have accepted Jesus into my heart and I care about people's souls, but I always feel deep down that I might just be doing it for the eternal rewards God will give. But in the bible doesnt it say to look forward to them. Like I wanna please God, but I just dont know where my heart is. What should I do? (dont just say "Stop thinking that way". its not that simple)

Well, first I must ask that if you are a French man currently reading this question please take no offense, because I truly admire your culture and in no way want you to take this with any offense. With that being said I will explain my curiousity.
I am an American woman, and my former lover was French. He was such a rare individual, and this romantic interlude was in short everything that I had ever wanted in a relationship. Unfortunatly tragedy struck for the both of us, and the feelings we had for each other became quite poisonus. I must add that this was the fault of us both..he was never ..ever..cruel to me...in fact it was quite the opposite..he acted like Prince Charming. Currently I am working on a heavily fictionalized story about him, and as some research have been watching French films. The male actors in these films absolutly have alot of his charisma, but are of course nothing like him as an individual. Do most French men have this "seducing" characteristic?

Ancient Egypt - the mice ate wheat, the cat ate the mice, the Egyptians ate the wheat, the cat became "god".

Ancient Fertile Crescent - the sun let the wheat grow, the sun became "god" to the Hebrews, the "light of the world", hence at their religious ceremonies some Christian denominations hold up a piece of wheat and call it "god", which they have been doing for thousands of years.

Any other examples

Do you really think your religion is any different than the various extinct mythologies? I mean, people believed in Zeus and Ra as much as you believe in the modern day nonsense. You don't really have any reason to believe whatever you do except that you were brainwashed as a child before your mind was developed enough to think rationally. Three year-olds believe in magic. Grown-ups should grow up and think about things not just say it's magic or god's way if you don't understand. The real world is nice enough without your having to believe in a bunch of made up religious crap.

Pastor Craig Gross runs an anti-pornography ministry and hands out hundreds of these Bible from his "porn-mobile" at porn conventions. The American Bible Society refuses to print the Bibles saying the wording is misleading. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary says Pastor Gross has crossed the line. Is this the right way to reach porno people for Christ, changing the wording of the Bible to fit them ? The web site is XXXChurch.com

At the same time slaves were praying to God for their freedom, their masters were thanking God for blessing them with slaves.

Who's prayers do you think God was more interested in granting.

Do you think he made up the 3/5ths thing as a compromise?

It seems like even within those who call themselves Christian there is a huge difference in doctrines and beliefs. I think that it is very confusing to those who ask questions when we all say "I am a Christian" and yet there is so many different theological things we hold to. Even right down to is Jesus the only way or not?

I am not trying to start a flaming/bashing session, I am just curious at to what is your definition of what a Christian is.

If you only want to insult Christians, please save it for another post, becuase I am not trying to put anyone down, just trying to understand.

It's not working because the drive to have sex becomes too great in the end and of course these people are not prepared resulting in unwanted teen pregnancies. Wouldn't it achieve better results to issue these teens with chastity devices instead of jewellery so that they cannot physically succumb to temptation even if their willpower is lacking...there are plenty of modern day devices available apparently? Chastity is a popular sexual fetish in itself and such devices can easily be ordered on the internet it is reported.
