was written by a bunch of men trying to fool us into believing in some fairy tale, so they could control everyone?

can you prove that it wasn't created for just this purpose?

and saying that god wrote the bible does not prove that he did?

What happens if I lie in Court but I don't believe in swearing to God? We are forced to raise our hands and promise to tell the truth. How can I purge myself when I 'm not a believer in the oath? What about Marriage... Am I wrong to think that if I don't believe in the religious ceremony then my marriage is false?

I used to be big ito the party scene i mean i was the "who what when ands why?" girl....everyone called me to find out what was going on. Then i got my transcript back and failed another semester..i mean thats 8 classes of straight F's..my gpa is a 1.3..AH....so now i study constantly...im making a B in my summer chem class...but during the weekends when there's nothing left to study i sit at home and do nothing but paint my nails and occasionally go out to eat with my friends. No one calls anymore cause they are pretty much mad at me for blowing them off for school....i knowe they werent my real friends anyway but, gosh i sortas miss it. What do i do?

Ok Guys why are some of you so caught up in the notion of finding a virgin when you yourself are not virgins....just because a girl isnt a virgin doesnt mean you should throw it in our faces....question why so caught up in finding a virgin when your not virgins your self.

I was recently in down town Minneapolis at night. A transexual came up to me and asked for a smoke. I gave "her" one and we talked while waiting for a bus. Behind us I hear an insane fight. It was two other trannys going crazy. The one I was talking to ran and jumped in to it. There were no sides, a 3 way free for all. The cops came very quickly and they were all tased. LOL. It was the funniest, craziest, most random thing I have EVER seen in my life. You only see that once in your life:P

that people automatically assume that because we are Christian, we are totally closed off to science. I have read too many times in here where people lash out at Christians because they do not believe in evolution... but wait... I'm Christian, and I completely believe in evolution as to what science has given us so far on the theory.

Any thoughts?

(Also, we all need to remember that evolution is a THEORY, it has not been fully proven...)

I've got a feeling that I'm going to push some buttons with this... but it just had to be said!!

...read their Arabic Bibles and say Isa ibn Allah; Jesus son of Allah/God. How does that make you feel? They wear turbans and ride camels too. They have been Christian longer than any of your ancestors. Jesus, Isa is one of the most common Muslim names; also Mahsi, Messiah. Do you feel narrow minded yet? Now do you believe people that say Christians don't research other faiths and are blind followers? Christianity started in the Middle East. Also, just another question, if prophet Jesus is God, how could he die? If he is God and he died, who brought him back to life? Doesn't existence depend on God, and if He died, how did existence continue to exist? He didn't have a father and was of the spirit, prophet Adam didn't have a mother either and was of the spirit. Prophet Moses brought an inanimate object to life into a snake, so prophet Jesus brought a previously live person back to life, which more miraculous? What about the prophesies of Islam in the Bible? Intelligently..

Do you really believe that Jesus is Michael the Archangel? If you don't then why is this a common belief about JW's? And if you do can you provide scripture that supports this?

It seems to me that the written language is being eaten away by texting, emails and messaging where shortened versions or symbols for words are the norm. (<----- like that) And with the influx of so many people for whom English is their second language, the intermix is creating many more sub-English dialects in the different communities around the country. In some cases the subtle change of speech is deliberate as in slang and street talk and is used to create a seperate identity from the rest of us. Is this a good thing? Or should we all at least be able to speak clear English that is understandable to all?
