Well, if you read on one of the oldest books around, the bible, we know that God instituted the Jewish faith and when they kept going against His laws He sent His Son to redeem them and they didn't go for that either and then God started His church, the Catholic Church. All of the other religions were either started by a man who said that he got word from God or are a schism of the Catholic Church. So in theory, all religions are an offshoot of either Jewism or Catholicism.

What we do know is that at about the same time as Adam was supposedly "created," there was already at least two completely different religions on the planet. I'm sure we will eventually find evidence of more.

All religions are cultural and geographic descriptions of who and what god is. I don't know why it would have been any different in the beginning of time.

Well, all 'christian' religions are 'offshoots' of the same one, Catholicism. It is the only church that Christ, himself, started. Who started the Lutheran church, Martin Luther. Not God, Martin Luther. Why people would believe something that just a regular person has to say is ludicrous to me.

Some what. All religion were true @ one time and place. As mankind matured so did the message of God until his final Messenger Muhammad (SAW) came. The old ones stay and is probably a sign from God and they all have prophesies of Islam.

perhaps there are some basics that could make you believe that, but if you closely examine the roots of religion, you find that they are not all from the same root. Some are monotheistic and others are polytheistic. It may not seem like much, but it forms the basis of relationships within the sect.

Actually, I believe so. Different religions just interpret the Bible differently. There is only one God we ALL worship. But, we do it diffeerently, Catholics believe one thing but Baptists and Pentocost another. But, it all goes back to the same God.
