Celibacy is often viewed as a weakness in the world of today. Even kids are pressured at an incredibly early age to have sexual experiences. You are not considered to be a true man if you don't have sex, and virgins are viewed as aliens or "goodie-goodies."

It would seem to me that celibacy is a strength, not a weakness. After all, almost anyone can have sex, but it takes something more to resist temptation and not allow oneself to be seduced. What are your thoughts and opinions on this? How do you view celibacy, and how do you think the world views celibacy? Why is celibacy viewed to be so negative?

Fossils, carbon dating, historical records...you can discount all this evidence and just say "Well, the Bible tells me so, and I have faith, so that must be how it is" You are brainwashed, and frankly you scare me if thats how you think.

Why is it that the story about Jesus with the same genealogy is different with Jews, Christians and Muslims.

This is a contradiction. How can you say that religion pacifies the masses but at the same time causes all wars? Can you see how both statements are anti-religion propaganda intended to deceive?

Christians do not claim that the humans who penned the books of the Bible were always accurate in everything they said or did. We simply believe that the Bible is right when it claims that God guided these men in their task of writing Scripture, in such a way that the result is an infallible book. The apostle Peter undoubtedly said some foolish things during his lifetime, but God did not allow him to clutter up the Bible with any of those blunders.

2 Timothy 3:16 contains the classic claim that the Bible was produced by God, not just men:

All Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Someone told me, "I would say that asking for a popular opinion on that topic [spirituality] from a group of anonymous internet people might not be the best way. "

There are many who call themselves "christian" but have no desire to live the Christian life. Why? Ask them I do not know.
There are those who call themselves Christians that strive to be good, honest and faithful people who love others, God, Jesus and the Church. Please do not lump us together! Is that really so hard to do?

If the person would listen to their commands, there would not be a problem. If that Rodney king criminal would have given up, there would be no beating (that he deserved). Cops should be allowed to beat or shoot if necessary. If a cop tells me to stop or lay down, I am going to do it.

Is it because its a public internet site here that atheists answer questions in the religion and spirituality section? Is it?

In the book of Genesis, it is said that God created earth first then the sun, the moon and the stars at the fourth day, but God created the earth on the first day and even the plants on the third day? How could the plant live without the sun? Isn't this show the story is chronologically wrong? (And if you read, you will find more)
