Religion is the practice of worshiping a divine invisible being. A way to explain the unexplainable, and a source of some form of guideance to be with the divine.
Spirituallity is the way a person interacts with thier fellow man on a higher level. A way of believing that we are all one from the creator and how we interact within our chosen religion. A person can be religious but not spiritual, however a spiritual person (truely spiritual) cannot be religious and spiritual.

Religion is what man does to get to know God or what he pecieves to be God.
Spirituality is the path of that search that man goes on to find God or what he percieves to be God.
Faith, on the other hand, is a complete belief in something that you can neither prove nor disprove.
Remember that the majority of the wars ever started were based on what someone believed their god expected of them. Go search your soul and see what you find to be your own truth or religion but remember....... its not the religion you practice thats makes you spiritual, its the relationship with the God you find that does. Truth and all that comes with it is simply this..... word and deed are one. What you practice and what you say should be the same, otherwise its only an opinion that one attempts to impose on others.

To me religion is the shell, and spirituality is the seed. Spirit is another dimension of our being because some believe that we are a trinity: body, soul and spirit. When something causes the seed to take root and grow spirituality is born. It is another dimension of our self. It is another way to explore what we call life. There is the horizontal way of living, which is just living in the material world and being human. There is the vertical way of living which gives you a different perspective of life through the spirit. Exploring that is spirituality. I loved what someone posted on another question...I can't remember who it was...sorry...but he said, "spirituality is the next phase in our evolution." I can dig that...

IMO, (in case that's not just "understood") spirituality is the connection or belief of connection, co-existence with and communication with the divine. Religion is the form a person puts to that spirituality.

In my experience, I have found religion to be a structured way to worship and believe in a god or gods. In midevil times, religion was used to instill fear in people telling them they need to conform and follow completely in order to get to the afterlife. Religion is nothing but a barrier and an excuse to hate and disagree with others. No matter what religion you believe in, we all worship the same power and go to the same place after death. But the label of religion (ie - Baptist, Catholic, Muslin, Juadism) seems to seperate rather than bring together.
Spirituality is the ability to believe in what you need to that gets you by without a structure religion. Example: I believe in God and Jesus and Heaven and such, but unlike my strict Roman Catholic family I do not take the Bible word for word and memorize prayers that have no meaning to me. A spiritual person basically creates their own and abides by it.

Religion--- Is a system of rules and regulations made by man to work
your way to heaven.
Spirituality--- Is a gift from God that changes lives from the inside out.

Look, why don't you check a dictionary. You're gonna get a bunch of nonsensical answer! Like this one:
Religion is a god that's not there searching for a people that's there. Spirituality is a people that's there searching for a god that's not there.

H.H Sri Sri says that if "religion is the banana skin then spirituality is the banana".
Religion forms a path to God, spirituality is the individual path you form to reach God.

Religion is a ritual, their are many religious people that don't know God.
Besides being human we are also spritual beings, but we are not intune with that side when we are born, due to the sin of Adam and Eve. Before the sin Adam & Eve. Adam & Eve had a spirtual connection with God, they could talk to him..ect. But when they sinned that connection was cut off! Because God is Holy. Now we can reconnect with God through Jesus...and as we learn more about God and His Word we become more Spritual beings.
Meaning God slowly reveals to us who we really are.
