If you live in Kansas City and have some good ideas as to where to watch the fireworks, or a good website to visit to get the goings on around town this weekend could you please let me know? I looked at a few sites, but nothing is really helping me

One of the biggest fireworks shows in KC is at Corporate Woods, it's at Antioch and College. Here's a link to the site's event, and they have driving directions. -

I know of a couple of places that are having fireworks. The Royals will have fireworks after the game. You'll have to buy a ticket to get into the game. I've seen them before and it's a pretty good show. The Woodlands greyhound race track has fireworks. There's no admission fee. It's air condictioned inside and that's a real bonus now. Also, Prairie Village is having a fireworks display. I don't know much about it.

If the Royals are in town, and you don't mind seeing them lose, they usually put on a good fireworks show. Shawnee Mission Theater in the Park will have fireworks after the performance Tuesday night as well. There's usually a show over the Liberty Memorial. Go to kansascity.com, it's the Star website, they should have a whole listing of fireworks.

I'm in Independence and there is going to be a display not far from the square, its at the mormon church on lexington. Fireworks are banned in Kansas City, and Independence. But they are legalized this year in Lee's Summit, Blue Springs and Grain Valley.
