I think one of the problems I have with joining a religion is that so many are similar to a mythology. Take for example the Christian religion and Greek mythology, there are so many parallels.

What makes your religion different from a mythology of the past or a religion of the present that because they aren't worshipping the right God that they are in fact just a mythology themselves.

i have a lesbian best friend and a gay very close friend. and i was friends withthem before i knew so why should i stop now? i'm bi so i have no problem with it but a lot of our friend sthat just found out about us are really grossed out now and treat us diiferent when we speak of the same sex.... and a lot of people think we are gross because we are differnt. i go to church and i believe in the bible but i don't agree with everything. what do you guys think?

Being not perfect is not the same thing as being bad or evil. You can be not perfect and still be fairly decent. Christians seem to think being not perfect falls into the catagory of being out right evil.

Muslims always say it was "changed" or "corrupted" but provide no proof other than Koran.

The British museum houses a Koran that has at least 3 differences in the Koran. I would like to know if there are differences in meaning or complete changes in verses ( like the Koran in the museum ) in the Bible, and where can I find it?

This is a real question- I would like to be able to see it. Im not talking about translation history. But real and complete verse changes.

Matthew 24:36. Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

If Jesus is the Son and Father, then it would read: Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the son ( Jesus ), but only the Father ( Jesus ).

That doesnt make sense.

Also John 14:28: YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father (Jesus), because the Father (Jesus) is greater than I am.

How do you explain the Trinity with Jesus stating he isnt greater nor equal to the father. Also, the Holy Spirit isnt mentioned here as well. How come the Holy Spirit doesnt know the Great Day?

Why would someone pay thousands of dollars to gain access to the "secret" knowledge of the "Church" of Scientology, when they could just read Dianetics? How much more secret knowledge could there be, and how cool is it to be worth potentially throwing away your entire life savings?

(I think the so-called "religion" of scientology is funny and pretty much harmless--if you want to think you're depressed because of Xenu[Xemu?] go right ahead, but the "church" itself seems to be nothing more than a dangerous cult.)
