I'm not a native speaker of English, and I've learnt that both expressions are totally interchangeable, but I've seen that when people want to be more emphatic, they use "nothing", rather than "not...anything", or "nowhere" rather than "not...anywhere", or "nobody", rather than "not...anybody", etc. Is that true?

And also, is "She's not married" more emphatic than "She isn't married"? Or are those just my assumptions?

My father side of the family are atheists and agnostics. On my mother side, they are Christians and some of them are on crack and 2 of them are mentally ill. None of my family from my father side is mentally ill. Have you ever seen those nut cases in the street walking around looking nasty talking to themselves? They always talk about getting saved by god and they're crazy. Everyone knows they're crazy. If you want to find atheists, go where the top scientists are. If you want to find christians, just go to skid row in LA. You will find plenty nut cases talking about getting saved.

I think ppl who identify themselves with organised religions like christianity and islam. They are doctrines of hate and gang formation to exploit individuals. They do so only to judge others and want others to practice their beliefs. If one were a real believer they would practice the message in their life and stop interfering in others lives and giving them sermons! Who are they to judge ppl when its only god's prerogative to send one to hell or heaven in the afterlife!

I'm Catholic, this is my opinion. Many Christians want "direct" communication with the Spirit/God only. Jesus acted as a "bridge" btwn. God and Man. He was of "flesh" too and he was a rabbi(priest). the role of priests is to CONTINUE to provide through visual human acts how to live and love God just as Jesus did. yet, remember they are people so they aren't perfect. wut do u think>?

Scenario:
The world blows-up and you are all that's left. Two space crafts come to pick you up, and you have to make a chose.

The first ship:All different kinds of aliens aboard, although there kind of violent to each other and they don't live very long. But they seem to be the life of the party.

The second ship:Just one type of alien onboard, and kind of boring at times. But you live long and you can have almost anything you want as long you don't physically hurt anyone.

For people who read the bible, and have great knowledge of Christ, and believers.

Suicide...I'm not suicidal, just thought its an interesting.

What If im a great christian, honoring God, Repenting, Forgiving, Loving, being more like God. And I cherish and praise him. But one day, I go through a bad day, real bad, that I want to kill myself to be somewhere better, HEAVEN.

Why would I go to hell for this? I just dont know why someone who is the above would go to HELL for having such a bad day, but wanting to go somewhere better, so they kill themselves.

I'd like to know.

Is it because your all Americans that grow up in a world were you are not aloud to think for your self so you just believe what your told - e.g. god exist and if you look at the facts like the one that more people believe other religions like Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu faith you would see how brainwashed you are and how prejudiced.

I just answered a question in Filipino from a Filipino who is from the Philippines and under the category.Travel>Asia Pacific>Philippines.

What's wrong with that? Are we not allowed to talk our native language here? How come they have yahoo.com.ph, yahoo.com.ch, etc, if they dont want to recognize other language?

How come they also use non English words such as karate, kung fu, yoga, rabii, etc, Theyre not English either...
