Is it because your all Americans that grow up in a world were you are not aloud to think for your self so you just believe what your told - e.g. god exist and if you look at the facts like the one that more people believe other religions like Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu faith you would see how brainwashed you are and how prejudiced.
I mean there are many gay animals in nature are they wrong ?! NO! I feel for you I glad ill never be that easily brainwashed.

I'm not religious (I am 100% atheist) I'm also not American, I am certainly homophobic!
I think you must already know that the majority of mankind are homophobic, this is not a lot to do with religion or America.
No matter how many little groups of 'Gays' get together and others may commiserate , it is certainly a fact that the majority of people do not accept gays.
What to do about this situation is another question altogether, if I take myself as an 'average' sort of homophobic feller, I can see no way of getting me to accept 'Gays' in any way shape or form.
Perhaps you have some suggestions?
Please don't say "Education" we are not uneducated , we just do not accept ! As for your argument that animals are gay so that makes it OK! That is just unbelivable!

I think that some people are homophobic, these people have problems themselves just as they would have if they were prejudice against anything else. I don't think it has a lot to do with the fact they are american and religious... i don't know, as im English, but i can't imagine that intellegent people would be brainwashed. Maybe i am being very naive.

The worst kind of homophobia is when people (mostly men i have to say) find lesbians a turn on, but won't accept (haha) gay men. Are these people aware of what they are saying?!

I have mixed feelings about the homosexuality but I figured it was restricted to us messed up humans. What gay animals in nature are you talkinag about? It only makes sense to be instinctively sexually attracted to just the opposite sex. How would it otherwise support the idea of procreation? As far as I know, all other animals have sex or copulate in some form or other for the simple purpose of procreation and nothing else. I only know of us humans who also bond when we have sex and have foreplay and afterplay and some even only do it for the fun of it.

With all that said, I can easily understand how there could be a human homosexual couple- but not in the rest of the animal kingdom unless their senses were really off and they could not tell the sex of the other, which I have also not heard of.

I must disagree with others who have claimed that homosexuality does not occur in nature. It does, and is distinct from other behaviors such as grooming and social heirarchy reinforcement. I watch male seagulls court and mate one another every once in a while around where I live.

Why do some people here, overlook where a lot of Christians came from..some of us used to be Atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, Agnostic, Gnostic's, Wiccan's etc..

We are not brainwashed, but Heart-washed..our hearts have been cleansed..we no longer desire to live in sin..we desire to Love all..and help everyone we can..

We are not the ones that keep bringing up homosexuals..it is the ones that are attacking our beliefs that are.. :(

No, it's just that MAJORITY RULES. And we don't buy into the media telling us that a man f*cking another man in the *** is okay! It's not okay and it's gross and against our beliefs. Sex with your own sex is wrong, and i will not call evil good or good evil as everyone tries to justify their pervertions by any means necessary.
