I just answered a question in Filipino from a Filipino who is from the Philippines and under the category.Travel>Asia Pacific>Philippines.
What's wrong with that? Are we not allowed to talk our native language here? How come they have yahoo.com.ph, yahoo.com.ch, etc, if they dont want to recognize other language?
How come they also use non English words such as karate, kung fu, yoga, rabii, etc, Theyre not English either...

I see your point totally! It's pathetic in the extreme for them to object to such an answer! The question IS, what kind of ding-bat reported it for abuse!!!?? A total loser I suppose..!
Anyway, to prevent it happening again, make sure that when you reply to these questions you write something like "Here is the Filipino translation you requested!" and THEN add the foreign writing!
Yahoo! can be too fussy about some things, and not fussy enough about others - but surely even THEY couldn't find a reason to delete a requested translation?!! A lot of people on here ask for translations ... if it's SO wrong, why don't Yahoo! come along and delete all those questions?
And for those who think Yahoo! Answers is available in billions of languages, IT'S NOT!! It's actually only available in 9 languages, because there are 19 altogether, and 6 of them are English, 4 of them are Spanish, and 3 of them are Chinese!!
English = United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, Singapore,
Chinese = China, Taiwan, Hong Kong
Spanish = Spain, Argentina, Mexico, US en Español
Portuguese = Brazil
Italian = Italy
French = France
German = Germany
Korean = South Korea
Japanese = Japan

At the bottom of the page there are flags to each country Yahoo Answers page, and from what I know, you must post in the corresponding language. Yes, not all countries have an Answers page. Non-English words is kind of different. Words like the ones you say are already used by tons of americans, and if they are not in the dictionary, they sure are daily-use words.

things that make you go hmmmmm....
I don't think they are necessarily racist, just trying to have a forum where communication is easiest. It would be very difficult if this were in all the languages on the earth.
By the same token, if you are in a Philippines sight, you should be allowed to use Filipino.

I entirely agree on that. I don't see why you cannot use other languages. They'll tell you that now there are Yahoo Answer sites in several languages, but still, there is no crime involved in using another language. And those who don't understand it, as I don't understand the language from Philipines, just ignore the question, and read the next one.

Well...there are the international sites, but I don't think they would be any help. Anyway, these guys have a thing about English due to possible terrorist attacks. I don't know if it's racist, but it's paranoid to be sure.

You are on the English version of this site. I think there are otherlanguage versions, try one of them. and those words you complain about have meaning in the english language, and have been adopted into it.
