We all have friends, presumably. We also, presumably, all have people who we love and trust to the ends of the earth. Yet, people come on Yahoo answers ready to spill their guts, secrets, and lives more openly to complete strangers than with their closest friends. Sometimes it's because of being embarrassed. But what does that say about our friendships? We're afraid of embarrasment?

Why is it, the closer a friend, the harded it is to tell your real secrets to?

If this isn't you, if you tell everyone everything, then the question isn't directed at you.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of factors correlated with homosexuality? The more quantitative, the better. The sorts of things I'm looking for: speech patterns, handedness, finger length, number of older brothers, etc. Also, have any reputable scholars seriously researched methods of predicting homosexual orientation?

I have really no friends. I think there's something really wrong with my ability to socialize. Im 28 years old, and know OF alot of people from all areas and stages of my life, but they dont really no me, and probably dont want to. Few people actually know my name and I guess im kinda shy. I only have one family member that I hang out with sometimes, but thats all.

The only time I ever had friends was when I was in elementary school, from 1st - 6th grades, and thats it. After that it all went down hill. I have like zero natural social instincts that come through when I need them to.

Anyone else like this?

I do not understand while the majority of black youth find the urban/hiphop cultue cool. I feel that that it reprisents the everything gone wrong or bad in black america. And its not a racist thing i guess whites have the same thing on a certain level like jeff foxworthy and larry the cableguy(both are complete tools) But the majoraty of white people dont like them. But this so called hip hop culture(thug) is disgusting to me as i would think it would be to anyone with any sense of community.
