Well people are living with their heads in the clouds. They want this and that and dont understand how to make reality happen.
Americans are educated but no one teaches them about common sense and reality.
We need more classes that teach us how to relate to others and how to accomplish our goals in life. Get out head out of the sand.

I think naivete is just a different form of denial, wanting to believe that things aren't as bad as they seem, wanting to have some sort of hope to hold onto, wanting to keep the truth hidden from themselves. You hear about people who's partners are cheating on them and you say, "how could they have not known? How can they be so naive?" But when you think of the life-changing things that would have to happen if they admit they know about it, that to keep some dignity they have to ditch the cheater, etc etc, their life is in turmoil....... It's easier to hide it from yourself, to not notice, to pretend that all is as it should be.
Take it from someone who apparently didn't know her husband was lying to her for 7 years.

i think they're the kind of person who tries to pretend and hide something. usually, they say they hate something, or not know anything, but in truth, they do know and hide it to other people. such person is worth the hate. i hate pretentious persons.

We deny things! And sometimes we just don't look at what we don't want to see.
