Everytime people praise me, I become shy and sometimes I feel embarrassed. Even worse, I don't know what must I do or say. I merely keep quite causing them to think that I'm arrogant.

About a year ago a very close friend/coworker of mine raped me. I was drunk and barely remember anything(i thought of him as a brother so i trusted him a lot, hes been to my house a lot of times and even slept over like twice before the incident) , after that day he only talked to me three more times & never called me again. That day he asked me to be w/ him & i told him i only liked him as a friend. He had a girlfriend who was on vacation at the time & i had told him that he had to tell her. A year later im still recovering from that day but sometimes @ vulnerable times i feel like calling him (i still have his house number & his brothers number), but i dont know what i would say. Sometimes it even scares me bc i want to be friends w/ him again & ive even thought about dating him but to me the idea sounds crazy bc ill never be the same again after what he did to me. Why am i getting these wierd stupid ideas, i dont feel a normal person would fantasize about that? Whats wrong with me?

There isn't anyone alive that isn't flawed in one way or another. I find it absurd that a flawed individual would sit in judgment on another flawed individual, instead of being understanding and compassionate? If nothing more, at least being able to relate to the same trials and tribulations facing us all.

We would be living in a better world if we were less punitive and more forgiving of everyone else's flaws.

Instead of giving blind people a dog and risking them treading in sh*t on the pavement or slipping over on some discarded fast food rubbish left by yobs, why don't they get given little chariots that are pulled by guide dogs like in "Ben Hur" only smaller. Think about it you could pimp them up and people like Stevie Wonder could have one pulled by 4 or 6 dogs in sparkly coats.Cool or what?

I have an assignment for my Sociology class to turn in tomorrow.

Basically, I have to ask individuals a series of questions that need to be answered (almost like an interview) to each individual's greatest knowledge of the subject. There are not any right or wrong answers. Definitions from wikipedia or any other online source are irrelevant to the assignment. I just need straight answers derived from the mind.

Questions:
1.) What is sociology?
2.) What is it used for?
3.) What is ONE contribution of sociology to society?

After answering these, I also need your AGE, SEX, and LEVEL OF EDUCATION.

This is for a college course.
