I just read something saying newport cigarettes are gaining popularity among teen smokers.....?

Im a teen smoker and i think they suck...marlbro reds all the way ......would anyone care to give there opinin

I think Newports are what teens smoke when they want menthod and Marlboros are what teens smoke when they don't want menthol.

Here's why I think that: I live in a suburb that is generally very clean and litter-free, but there is a street that leads to a convenience store. On that street there are frequently Marlboro packages or Newport packages left as litter. Since it tend to be the teenagers who walk to that store, and since in the suburbs the only people who tend to litter are school kids, I have drawn the conclusion that Marlboro and Newport may be the favorite brand of teenagers.

You remark about your favorite brand of cigarette the way football or basball fans show enthusiasm for their favorite team. When adults smoke they aren't all that enthusiastic about their brand. They are, instead, trapped in a habit they can't break.

Maybe you only smoke once in a while. A lot of teenagers do that. If you're a habitual smoker, though, what I have to say is this: Enjoy believing you will be able to quit some day before its too late or before 30 years of smoking has passed.

Actually they are marketed toward black people. But most people that bought Newports at Giant (a store I used to work at) where white women.

I think people who smoke look ridiculous. And they smell.
