I did an essay 1500 words about concept of community according to sociologists.
I DON'T NEED YOU GUYS TO DO MY HOMEWORK, BUT to give me a further informations since i'm the only international student, so no daddy or mommy to help me unlike all my friends.
It is really rude to call someone a cheater!!

It means society. Here, Tonnis was trying to explain the change form the rural to industrial. His work Gemeinschaft und gesellschafg - community to society suggests that local bonds of kinship such as family and culture have been overtaken by more rational and complex social forms. This view was taken up by Parsons, Durkheim, and Habermas.
When people use the word there are usually refering to a colder world in which there is little emotion - one in which the economy, bureaucracy, or global processes are prevalent. This is supposodly opposed to intuitive and 'natural' worldviews. Tonnis, the guy who wrote the book done his Phd at the age of 17 !

Gesellschaft is the German word for society or community, depending on how it is used. It can also be used to imply a social environment.
