i have to write a speech about myself. in this speech, i have to present an object that symbolizes me...not my interests, just me. i can't think of anything for the life of me.

my personality is quiet, reserved, humble, helpful, caring, compassionate, loving...to a select few.. i'm outgoing when i warm up to people.

i appreciate your help!

I posted a question earlier that evoked angry and disquieting response. I made mention of a personal observation that the accessory of the token black male [of whom I referred to as "the new Prada"] has become a rather prominent trend. I mentioned that I do not view interracial relationships as problematic by any means, but wonder of the nature behind what initiates them. Is it always love, or is it occassionally an "interesting" and "exciting" endeavor to pair with a black man (in respect to white women) or white female (in respect to black men). The race issue in regards to this subject can branch into a billion dynamics, but for this topic, I'm limiting "interracial" to Causcasian women and black men. My question was, does anyone else notice a social pattern of black male acceptance and black female rejection in predominately white circles? Please bear in mind, this is a question, not a bullet. Before retorting, really consider what I'm saying.

The high school kids are throwing lingerie parties and inviting 8th and 9th graders. Getting the girls drunk for one of the first times. Ok seniors are taking advantage of barley clothed 12-13-14 year olds. Not right so I feel. I mean I know 2 - 16 year old guys who beat this kid with a bat from their car and he was put in the hospital. I am disrespected along with everyone else here just like the rest of America. I was a messed up leader for rebellion in my time but I never crossed the line like they do now. Should I beat some understanding into these guys? Or Would that even make a point? Like at the last party they teamed up 4 on 1 because one dude didn’t like him. I don’t care any longer about reputation and I will never get respect from them like I want, but I feel something needs to be done. I kind of think if I busted in on a party and humiliated the group leaders I could make a change. I know neither could stand up to me even both together.or would that fuel them worse

A group of about four people is being mean to me. I took a couple classes with one of them last semester and now he has turned his friends against me. I am shy and somewhat adverse to attention. Their meanness is almost subtle and hard to act apon. They are black so it's hard to stand up to them without looking racist. I have two friends in the class but they have known eachother for a longer time and I think they only pitty me. Nobody will stand up for me and I can't stand up for myself. I think this could be avoided if I never left the side of my friends or made a new friend. I need friends for protection, bad things don't happen to people with friends. What should I do?

What I mean is, why do we continue to do things that are no longer necessary? To honour things that once had symbolism, but now are just tedious? Why do we maintain tradition?

I have noticed this since the 7th grade i have had crushes on three indian girls already, and had thoughts about 5 girls other than the three. I am of italian ancestry, and i am aware that sometimes the meditteranean and the asian caucasians have simular, but distinct at the same time features. so i am used to larger noses, dark skin, that special mouth, and the large amount of dark hair. and as i mentioned my neighbors are indian, so i never experienced the prejudgist about indians that people think(thanks to the gulf war.) and i find myself often attracted to other asian caucastoids, and medditteraneans. But this sort of annoys my dad, because he thinks that i'd have a hard time(since mideastern and asian culture is more conservative than european and north and south american.

Here's the picture. Will Social Security and Disability be enough to take care of our parents? Aging parents without retirement or savings or decent cars. Aging parents who don't own homes. Combined can someone live off that alone?

I've noticed that people normally associate blushing with having a crush on someone or when you talk to someone you like/love.

I don't normally blush in those types of situations. Even if I have a crush, I don't blush but rather just get shy.

I tend to blush when I feel embarrassed or vulnerable if I reveal something personal, if someone asks me something personal or when I receive attention because of it, even among my friends.

What are your thoughts or reactions when witnessing someone blush b/c of this?
What do you observe if you yourself does this?
