Should I do Nothing? all the damn highschool kids just don't respect anything or themselves?

Question

The high school kids are throwing lingerie parties and inviting 8th and 9th graders. Getting the girls drunk for one of the first times. Ok seniors are taking advantage of barley clothed 12-13-14 year olds. Not right so I feel. I mean I know 2 - 16 year old guys who beat this kid with a bat from their car and he was put in the hospital. I am disrespected along with everyone else here just like the rest of America. I was a messed up leader for rebellion in my time but I never crossed the line like they do now. Should I beat some understanding into these guys? Or Would that even make a point? Like at the last party they teamed up 4 on 1 because one dude didn’t like him. I don’t care any longer about reputation and I will never get respect from them like I want, but I feel something needs to be done. I kind of think if I busted in on a party and humiliated the group leaders I could make a change. I know neither could stand up to me even both together.or would that fuel them worse

defintiey the fueled would make it worser. Its like this, hes fire, and your adding fueled to fire. Althought there isnt realy a solution here, i jus say tell the minorities to carry pepper spray ;]. Those hurt. But only for self defense

Contact an attorney and be sure it is in writing. The attorney can advise you on whether/how your wife can sell the land without interference from your kids. Don't bother to tell the kids. They will find out when the time comes. Sorry they are treating you this way. Good luck with your health.

If you truly want action taken that will stop this you will involve the authorities. Taking the law into your own hands isn't safe and you will respect yourself more for taking action that is in line with your values. However, asking this question seems like it had a common sense answer so I wonder if maybe you are interested in getting involved yourself. Which can have far reaching consequences. Is the risk worth it? Regardles be true to yourself.

You may want to call children and family services and your local police, that is a shame.....Teachers, childcare providers should be paid combat pay and issued flak jackets with helmets. Idiot legislators want to Stop any type of discipline, incluidng saying anything to them, with their Nanny state of mind. It's social engineering and by the time they are of this age it's too late, their personalities are formed by age 5!

Next time they throw one of these parties, maybe the News media might be interested, along with the police, they ae always looking for stories. Maybe that will stop the anti discipline Legislators too, if they see what No Discipline does. Maybe those legiislators should be invited to the party.

Why do people like this even exist? The attitudes of presumed respect, social posturing within their peer group, and radical distain for social norms is nothing more than dramatic rebellion of angst. This infantile contemplation is annoying and further troubling to fathom the depths of which the children have availed themselves in the name of bravado.

I don't know if you will hear what I am going to write, but I will write it anyway. First, what is the point you want to make?

Are you trying to tell them, "Hey, don't act that way! Don't go around beating people up with bats."? Do you honestly think that beating some one up will teach him to not beat others up?

It's like the parent who hits his kid and says, "Don't hit." Have you never heard: actions speak louder than words?

So, if you beat them up to make a point (really just to get what you want, which is to control others), your actions will teach them to beat others up, so that they can get what they want.

Instead, teach them something different. Teach them how you want them to be by you being that. If you want them to not beat others, you don't beat others. If you want them to be loving, you be loving. Be the example for them to follow.

Be the person you really are, the good person, who is in your heart. I have faith in you.

I know that there are times we want to 'knock' some sense into others but violence begets violence, peace begets peace. Be a person of peace.

You should hang out at better parties if you don't like what's going on at the ones you've been going to.
