Nooooo.....not over rated , merely over done in alot of cases. When attempting to " understand " keep it simple-stupid", as in direct and to the point, and do not allow yourself to drift off with this if and that but.....should you do that then it will become confused and the actual issue lost in the fog.

Without understanding we could get no where. It is not overrated. There is so much to learn and it has to be done in steps of a little understanding at a time. When we add all the understanding together we come up with many great inventions such as this computer your are using. Never stop trying to understand. It would be a waste of your brain.

No, it's part of our human experience to understand, process and experience all the things in life, which makes us what we are, and our reason for being here for the most part.

BUT


Does that mean that understanding nothing brings you closer to God,and that understanding very little about whats going on around you, and probly misinterpreting that as well, most likely wont get you as far....

On the contrary. I feel that understanding, knowledge, and even truth are not given enough attention in our society today. Kids are not being properly raised with the right morals instilled, leading to a lazy and less productive society. Don't get me started...

We need to seek to understand instead of seeking to be understood.

People focus on themselves too much and should focus on others more.
