the book "Want To Be A Nobody- Striving For Anonymity" is supposed to be a good book dealing with sex slavery, human trafficking, depression and a number of other social issues, especially womens issues regarding society. I was wondering has anybody any views on the book or any of the subjects covered by the book and any suggestions of other books, especially from a uni course work angle.

Unable to take a bold challenge.Limited awfully on attitude,knowledge and scope. Ridiculous copycats in saying what fits just to be accepted,and pathetic follow the leader (what leader?) types.Terrified of being "shown the mirror". i mean, the sex tourist is providing good income for the person selling the sex. in poor countries like thailand, many individuals and families are enjoying a much higher income and standard of living because of sex tourism. yet the men who pay these women their wages are criticised as being "dirty" / perverted / exploitative, etc. how can this be the case between two consenting adults who are both getting what they want /need out of the arrangement? how else would poor women feed their kids + families without sex tourism?

My daughter is 8 months old, and she comes from a mixed family. I am caucasian and native american. Her biological father is Asian Indian. My fiancee (who has been with me since I was pregnant, and is basically her father) is a Zulu from South Africa.

To me, she's just my little Peanut ... she's light enough that she seems "white" with me, but dark enough that she seems "mixed" with my fiancee.

I could care a less how she's classified, but every time I fill out a form, they ask for her "race." Also, as she gets older, I know people will try to place her in their own categories.

How do I instill a sense of pride and self-identity in her, and at the same time maker her comfortable in a world that insists on placing people in categories?
