I feel really bad for overweight children, the ridicule goes through. I have seen this in the school system when I worked there, it is very cruel and can have a lasting effect on them in later years...
This comes from the home. When a kid makes fun of others who are overweight, then it is certainly the parents fault.
Teach children that other kids can be skinny or overweight and also teach them it is wrong to make fun at them..
They look at the outward appearance rather than the inner person... sad but true...

With all due respect, I think that was a rude and hurtful question? If kids are fat, they still have feelings like you or I.
I think having a posts up like this is humiliating and discriminating to overweight "people" not just kids.
When I was younger and was a bit chubby, my father use to say things that were hurtful to me. I became obsessed with my weight and lost so much weight I became sick. Of course, that was 15 years ago. I have learned much since then, however, I have learned what others think about you can effect your life. Some people never get over it, and some do.

What an incredibly rude and shallow question!
You have to young , because if you're not , you're still mentally that of a 12 year old or younger.
Fat people as you say have as much to contribute to the world and are just as well liked as those skinny annorexic' b's who think have it all or are it.
Size doesn't determine talent or kindness or even beauty. Some of the most beautiful persons can be the ugliest creatures on the inside. Look at the ' Ugly' Betty program, Betty is far from ugly compared to the skinny b(((hes she works with.
So to answer your question yes people do like fat people ,it's the ignorant assholes like you people don't like.

God loves overweight kids. I know if you are an outcast it feels like nobody likes you. This is not true. I was not overweight in school, but I was just one of those weird kids nobody liked, so I was an outcast.
Being anti-popular is painful for a while, but you realize how shallow people are and quit worrying about whether or not they like you. Then, you often end up linking up with other misfits, outcasts and such and discover these people are true and unmoveable friends. Then, who cares if the shallow conformist people like you or not?
P.S. In this circle of outcast friends I met, there were some who were outcast because of their weight. This did not matter to the rest of us. Friendship is of the soul, not the body.

People should stop looking on the outside and see what is on the inside.
When I was at school the large kids were the funniest of them all. I would love to hang out with them because they were so down to earth and so much fun to be with!
So in the end personality gets my vote!!

I'm one. People appreaciate me as a friend, but I hope no one likes me. That would feel... awkward. I don't get taunted as much, mostly because I'm in more than a few AP classes and fight back.

to me, i like or dislike a person is because of his/her personality. but if they're fat and they have bad behaviour, i dont mind skinning them alive. fat+dirty+bully+ugly+snobbish+dumb+overslept = disgusting creature ever!
