Well, America, obviously, is one big influential country...

and, may, I say... it's not copying... it's being influenced by the US... and it applies to a hella big number of other countries, too... not just Australia...

the TV shows, the companies, Hollywood, politicians, culture, music...

and wouldnt be America flattered?

they're being 'copied' because they are influential and having big influence means also having that kinda *power*?

Steve Irwin and The Wiggles are Australian...but we in the US have embraced them as part of our culture. Even Nemo went to Sydney, Australia. The US and Australia aren't in a competition. We are friendly countries, and as The Wiggles will tell you, friends share things.

I myself am from America and I'm appalled by this question. Assuming the "asker" is also from this country- that mentality is embarrassing!! Any technological advances that this country (or any country, for that matter) makes should be meant for the growth of the world, not just for our own society.

I assure you all- we don't all think this way!

The only thing I like about America is the tv and the movies that come from there. Other than that I'm as Aussie as they come.
