I hate it. I live in Potomac so its really hard to know when you're spoiled. I KNOW I'm spoiled but I cant stop buying things. It's horrible. I was thinking about getting a debit card with a limit for the year so that I can have a budget instead of my parents getting everything but I know that Im gonna spend it all before the end of the year. I really need help. Its like a disease. Thanks in advance.

o.k, I'm a 17 year old male. But I gotta admit something shameful. I have no knowledge nor experience in my life in dealing with people in a relationship. Ever since I was small my father taught me to be always nice to people and accept them when they need me. But growing up I found life a lot different. It's that every time someone asks me for something I always say "yes" regardless of how hard the situation might be on me. Then when I ask them for something they always think twice and sometimes reject more then they accept. I'm so nice to people, I always laugh when someone makes a joke and it isn't even funny. I'm always lenient when it comes to my right, but when it comes to other people rights for my sake, they never sacrifice it for me. This is especially with my friends. My question is; how do you deal with people in a way you are not too nice and not too mean?. At the same time people would accept you and like you for who you are?

It's so messed up sometimes I just feel like slapping them to "put them in their place", Im treating men like dogs. I just want to start bringing guys up to the level or humans, they aren't animals. All I can think is they just want sex, and have no feelings. Is there some sort of positive thinking class I can take?

I have just recently moved to a new apt. and the previous tenants were not very clean and they had roaches in the kitchen area. I had the exterminator spray and I put Combat all over the apt. as well as boric acid everywhere. It is working because I haven't seen any since I moved. I want to keep it this way. The boric acid seems to be the perfect protection but I don't know if it keeps its potency or does it fade away? I abhor roaches and I want a clean, comfortable apt. to live in.

Last night I dreamt that I went to my pastors family's home. I had my patient with me who I care for (she is 12) we went down to the basement with our friends- but it looked so much lighter and prettier than usual. Like they had redone it, and the walls were this pretty yellow. My patients feet were dirty from playing outside, so they said we could use the tub to wash them. I had to rinse out the tub - it had debris and a few bugs in it. Then as I was washing her feet, the water rose too high (even though it had been shallow )it went over her head and I had to pull her out-she was choking on the water.(She has been very sick this week,by the way.)
Then after I got her stable, I looked at my feet. I had 2 small leeches on me. I pulled them off. Then I realized there was a giant leech on my leg-I tried to pull it off, it was really attached, and I rember yelling- it's sucking the life out of me! Then I sat straight up in bed and woke up. Life has been so stressful the last few months.

Just in general, how important is it for teens and kids to have close friendships with peers before they go to college? Will it stunt their social growth, so to speak, or make it much harder to develop friendships in life if they have no close friends in childhood or teen years? Especially, or even if, they are loved but not so close to their families, also?

I dream he's being arrested for drunk driving. I've had it at least 6 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been getting progressively more detailed and gruesome. Last night we were driving along and he hit a kid on a bike. I saw the kid's brown hair and face smash against the windshield in front of me. In my dream I just felt numb but terrified, guilty and helpless because this kid had just been killed by my husband. The police came and arrested my husband because of it. I don't even want to go to sleep tonight because of it, LOL.
What the heck do you think this is about?!

Why is this?
I am doing a short essay about this subject. When women are promiscous they are deemed "whores", but men are congratulated. I am having a hard time finding sources online of this subject.

MY QUESTION IS: Can anyone direct me towards articles that have to deal with this double standard?

I would really appreciate it. Since, my crappy library didn't have the book I was looking for.

I am almost adult 20 years old. She always watches me, even in the moment when I need privacy. She always must know what I do in my room. She enters quickly without notice to my room from time to time. I work on 2 important goals in my life, that she (probably unconsciously) she disturbs me in achieving. First of all I study a lot, I went to university and work adequately on homework. But there are 2 other important goals that are social and without them life seems to me yucky. First of all I do not have friends and I am looking for them. Well I meet my classmates at school but I always end up only on nice talk. Never got invited to hang out. My mother forces me to go to church to have me become more religious every Sunday. I do not look forward it, I am more like spiritual not fundamentalist. I only look forward to see myself and others happy in life. Second I started to work out, build muscles and for that I bought whey protein shake to repair muscles and build new. [continue...]

Intelligence is a property of mind that encompasses many related mental abilities, such as the capacities to reason, plan, solve problems, think abstractly, comprehend ideas and language, and learn. Although intelligence is sometimes viewed quite broadly, psychologists typically regard the trait as distinct from creativity, personality, character, or wisdom.
