You are emotionally numb. You've done all that you can and you know crying about whatever it is won't work. You need to mve to the next step and start talking about your problems with somebody. It doesn't have to be a counselor. It could be with a close friend, preacher, family member, just talk. If you feel that you have nobody to talk to, write it down. Let something become of it. Don't hold it in.

I went through this myself. I wanted people to believe that I was tough and I could handle anything. Also, I wanted people to feel like they could relay on me to be the strong one during a tough situation. It got to the point where I went to tthis funeral and I had to put eye drops in so people didn't think I was insensitive. I really never did anything about it, and I think it did a lot towards me. Now, I cry over everything and I think I was trying to create a barrier between me and other people. Like if someone were to see me cry, they would get closer to me than I wanted. In my opinion, I would go see a doctor because you are probably going through something that needs to be discuss with a psychologist.

Sometimes people just "cry themselves out," and then don't cry again for some time. You might have been through the worst, that last time you cried, and nothing more recent has been quite so bad. Sooner or later, you will "let it all out" when you're ready.

Be healthy :)

It sounds to me as though the last cry you had was wrung out from the utter depths of yourself...I imagine you cleansed yourself of grief and have moved into a space now where shedding tears has been replaced by a whole new sense of knowing and maturity.
IMHO

I was wondering if you are on medication for depression. That will stop you from crying, If not see a Dr. just to sure. But it sounds like you were very depressed before

You've created a barrier around you, its sounds like you don't want to show emotion, and maybe that translates to not showing people your 'weak' side. You need to identify why you feel the need to hide yourself from people, then you can start to understand why you won't let yourself cry.
