The funny thing is that I was always one of the rare children that had the same dream right up until adulthood. I wanted to be an Officer in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

I guess the weird thing is that although I did go for it (and pass!) I never went in. Unfortunately, at the same time as being offered a position in Military Intelligence (Green Slime! lol) A computer company offered me a salary of 45k a year plus benefits. I was 17 years old and 45 thousand pounds is a lot of money, (For the yanks, thats about 85 thousand bucks a year) so naturally I took the computing job and I am still doing it at 23 although did get promoted last month... Yay for me. lol

Strangely enough I wanted to be an inoffensive hermit growing herbs and tending goats, but I also used to compare my face to that of dictators like Colonel Quadaffi and Saddam Hussain and I expected to be a force to be reckoned with - though for good or for evil, I had no idea which. I've just about stopped believing that this will happen, so expect it to begin any time now! Oh yes, and I'm still young- Cheeky Puppy (X)!

I found these things that asked "what do youwant to be when you grow up" So when I was 4 I wanted to be a fireman (not firefighter lol) then for a while I wanted to be a dancer, Then when I turned 9 I wanted to be an artist. I stuck with the whole artists thing and now Im starving :)

When I was young I thought adult hood would be soo easy and straight foward. I thought I would be able to get married to a lovley husbad have 3 children, become a vet and live in a nice big house. I never thought for once I'd encounter stress, difficult relationships and financial difficulties. Oh the innocence of childhood or is it just the way we create adulthood?
