Horrble things happened to me in the past and no one would help me not even my mom. I'm okay now. I'm in a secure place and I'm safe but I can't stop thinking about what happened even though it was years and years ago. I don't want to see a counselor I can't afford to go regularly anyway. What can I do to work through it on my own?

for 10 years? I'm in my twenties, but in the last tens years I really haven't been able to have many friends, classmates, let alone boyfriends come over to my house because it's not a home. What do you think?

If you're feeling sad, what are some things that make you feel better immediately? What do you do to turn negative thoughts into positive ones?

Your own personal experience, please.

I've read a similar question/answer, however, there is someone I love, who I've been with for awhile. He is secretive about things that don't seem relavant. It has driven me so nuts that in the past I started digging to find answers. He keeps such a large part of his life separate and guarded from me. At first, I suspected he was cheating, but to my relief, there is no cheating. So why the need to keep things secret?

I know men and women are different and we have a hard time understanding each other. I am also private where others are concerned, but isn't it supposed to be different with someone you have an intimate relationship with?

This is not a trust issue. Just a point of frustration. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried to ignore this, but it has really driven me nuts. I just want to understand it so I can move on.

I do not take criticism well. I beat myself up when I get it. I do not strive for perfection but when someone critisizes me it is like they broke through the covering I where. I am not good expressing myself and I do not let much in. Criticism gets me because showing my imperfections really scares me. I know were not all perfect but I still feel this way.
ADVISE PLEASE!!!!!!

I never hurt anybody's feelings. This new person - a girl, is cutting me repeatedly and treating me offensively. We both are of same seniority. I tried to avoid her. But even in the slightest conversation, she manages to hurt me. There is no reason why she should do this. its affecting my mind very much. I am not spontaneous in responses. i cant think of a good response for hers immediately. I would be glad if somebody help me

Can anyone tell me why it is when you are looking for something either at home, work etc that you pull the place apart looking for it and can't find it for love nor money and then all of a sudden you find it staring you in the face. How come you don't notice it the first time you look for it?.

When you are stressed out, what are some things you can do at home to relax and get rid of your stress? I'm not talking about taking up a yoga class or anything, just small things that you yourself can do to help your mind and body relax.

I've been feeling pretty down in the dumps lately and I think that hearing other people's survival stories would help. Therefore, please tell me about hardships you've gone through in the past and are going through now. Also, any motivational quotes and such would help. I'm going through some pretty rough times myself lately. I'm seeing a counselor for depression and my self-esteem is so low, I've thought about suicide. I'm tired of waking up and dreading everyday, please help!

I always seem to be atrrtacted to girls that are very wild and loud in the way they act and dresss and girls who always want to get in trouble with the law. Yet I am exactly the opposite personality I am an introverted timid guy who is straight-laced.

The government had ordered that civilians manually transport suspect packages that might have contained bombs into this building, and I was in the building and then there was this strange sound and everything went dark and I realised a bomb had exploded and I was dead. It was all blackness and I couldn't move, and I realised I was dead but still conscious and I was excited and scared because I had found out there was an afterlife. Then I woke up... and I was relieved that I was alive and in my bed.

you see the bad habit i have i will call the "al bundy habit" and for those of you who watched married with children probably know what "al habit" i am talking about. Yes the one where he puts his hand in his pants when he sits. unfortuntely i have that same problem and find myself doing it a lot. im not being perverted about it or anything its just a comfortable place to put my hand and thats all. however its not a sitiation that you should do in public because its not approriate. so my question is why do i do this and is there any reason that i would do it. is this a bad habit i never grew out of , like some people who suck their thumbs into adulthood. is there a psychological or medical explanation for this. or is it just a comfortable pose for me that although looks inapporiate is really nothin to be concerned with at all.

The dream began with me standing in the backyard of my house with all of my friends and family. We were all having a wonderful time, when I noticed four girls I had never seen before sneaking into my house, walking up to my room, and stealing the necklace my parents had given my for my sixteenth birthday, and my favorite pair of jeans. I then ran around frantically trying to find two of my friends to tell them about the robbery, and because I felt as though I needed to watch a movie with them. As desperate as I was, I could not find them.

Is it me or does this drive others nutzz? When i drive through a drive thru and give the person my money, the person working always hands me the bills first then they pile the change on top of the bills. I don't know how many times i have dropped the change because they just pile it on the bill(s). If i happen to drop some change they look at me as to say. "what do you want me to do about it" This is irritating as hell and really grinds my gears. Anyone else???
