The government had ordered that civilians manually transport suspect packages that might have contained bombs into this building, and I was in the building and then there was this strange sound and everything went dark and I realised a bomb had exploded and I was dead. It was all blackness and I couldn't move, and I realised I was dead but still conscious and I was excited and scared because I had found out there was an afterlife. Then I woke up... and I was relieved that I was alive and in my bed.

Do you work in a government building? You have fears that you can not control. Do not worry about things that you can't control, just concentrate on staying positive and safe. Don't let paranoia get you.

I doubt that anyone can give you a true meaning of your dream.
There are some generalized dream action/feeling connections. That is about the same as stereotyping, that is that some fall into that category, but not all. It would take a trained professional who would have to ask you many, many questions concerning your present life, your back ground, your past. Even with all of that information it is at best a guess.

If you would like me to say that you will be able to have important things happen in your life, we could do that too, but we both know that it isn't true.

I would say that if it is an isolated dream, don't wory about. If it is reoccurring, and it bothers you then is the time to get some doctor involved, until then, have fun.

It's a good thing to wake up alive. I have awoken on many occasions thinking I was dead, specially when I'm face down on the pavement, but alas no such luck...awake another day to toil and plunder.
