i dated someone for a year and never felt good about the situation but i kept telling myself i was just suspicous however when it was over all kinds of deep dark secrets emerged. how did i not see them

YES! Sounds exactly like you describe it. I would say if it Looks Like a Duck, and it Walks Like a Duck....................ad infinitum. You will get over her in time. If she used you just be glad she's not using you now. And pray she finds someone else before she comes back to hit you again with her junk!! You are not wrong for believing in someone. That is kind and trusting. You did all you could have done. You cannot change people that easily, if at all. There will be someone else who needs your love. yea i think that you can. like as in a relationship you can be used and not even no it. like you may think that you are moving to fast but then you could also just let it slid because that person may have a reputation for being that way. but you may not even know what that person may want from you also. so i do think that it is possible to be used and not even know it.
