I was just wondering if anxiety can have any long range issues with your mind?I mean if you are logical and are just a little anxious about things and get depressed ,is it enough to make you just totally lose it?Can it influence you to a place of no return mentally or is that just a feeling that is temporary and that will pass..?Something that goes along with anxiety.I know that I have read that people with anxiety sometimes thinks they are going crazy but have been told people with anxiety feel that way sometimes and generally if you are questioning if you are crazy then you probably arent.Any ideas?

why do people read into the magazines and the hollywood image of perfection so much? it almost makes the dating scene next to impossible to navigate, and puts pressure on people to look good all the time. why can't people just relax and let their inner qualitys shine through?

I was wondering .Yesterday I wasn't feeling too well.. The wife had been sick the night before and stayed in bed.I had to be up going back and forth trying to take care of things. At the end of the day I laid down too and went to sleep. The snow was going to be here during the night.I slept and then woke about 10pm and then ate and went back to bed and the woke this morning with snow on the ground and decided why not sleep all day .Is there something abnormal about this?We have gone to the grocery a few days ago because we knew more snow was on its way ,no real reason to get out today and so I gave in and found I would rather be asleep with the weather bad than stay awake and watch a vast wasteland of snow.Pretty much what we have seen everyday since before December. It was nice at first but its been bitter cold.I started worrying ,is there something wrong with me that would make me want to be asleep than awake watching outside of is this common.Im in my 50's so what would you do?

I can't help it, and it has gotten on my last nerve, so I'm asking why is it that whether it be 6:33 am or 6:33 pm...I always seem to look at the clock at those specific and exact times. Is 6:33 from the Holy Scriptures (the Bible), or does it mean something else. This has been happening to me for several years and I just don't get it...maybe you do.

Just curious.I have heard this term alot from different people. What does it really mean? When you stay indoors for a long time in bad weather can you actually lose your mind?Does your mind play tricks on you ?Do you find you would rather sleep than stay awake and deal with the same view of a snowy wasteland? What is the outcome of this and can it have long term affects on you ?Can you acutally lose your mind or lose touch with reality or just get depressed from staying in? What is the full problems you have staying in?

how could people not suspect that jeffrey dahmer was a serial killer? i saw a documentary on him, and one of his neighbors said that "he never bought groceries." wtf? if someone living next to me or in my neighborhood "never bought groceries," i'd be a little suspicious. and they also said that they smelled "a foul odor eroding from his apartment." come on! whenever i smell something foul like that, i never put anything past me. plus, i mean, he HAD to have some strange ways....and couldn't people from time to time hear victims crying out for help? do people know and just not care, or are they in denial, or just plain blind? its just like the BTK killer. how was his wife of thirty something years be married to him and not suspect A THING? again, WTF???? I know that some people are really good at masking and hiding themselves, but I think it would be pretty hard to conceal the fact that you're a sick, sadistic, psychopathic serial killer. these people should've seen it.

I was in my den one night and reading a book. I saw something move just out of the corner of my eye. I put my book down and look at the wall acroos the room. At that moment, I felt an intesnse feeling of fear and dread. I couldn't explain it, but I knew something was there. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it's presence. Before I knew what I was doing, my body got out of the chair and walked over to the wall. The feeling of fear intensed greatly. A second later the strange feeling was gone. Now, at random times, i feel the strange feeling. It feels as if someone is staring right at you or the feeling you get when your plunging down on a roller coaster. I afraid to even walk into my house alone now. What causes these feelings and how do i make them go away?

You don't have to be modest or hide anything. It's not like anybody can track you on here. So, what do you truly want more than anything else?

But when you know you can't stop it just gets worse and gets to the point where you can't hold it in and everyone is looking at you and your friend and then you start setting each other off and then.......! Usually I have to walk out the room! Over to you.......

Subject: Hey look......

Message: Now, I listened to what you have to say and now im asking you listen to my response to your retardation.

Dumped after one date? Yes, me and a good portion of the male population this happens to. You either have to be pretend suave which I refused to compromise my soul to put on an act or be rich. I'm not rich. I work with a guy a year older than me and he's in a relationship now and has had many "tease dates" like myself.

Honestly, who the **** do you think you are? We all have our egos and backstories and history. Im going to assume you're better than how you yourself came across in your arrogant response, but im not holding my breath.

And who the **** are you calling pathetic? Can you look in the mirror and say you don't fall into that category? Why do I say you do? Who calls THEMSELF a MILF? That's ******* nuts! You're also divorced, I could have a field day giving you **** for that. What did you meet some deadbeat guy now you're trying to relive your "glory days" of being the queen bee ***** you come off across on these same message boards?

Last I checked, I have a Bachelor's in Communications. My listening skills are fine. Thanks for the concern though.

When a person just can't grasp things, like some math or algebra, etc. or how things work, or why something is just that way. What is it that stops that person from learning, or from getting it?

Ok, I recently finished high school (a month ago) and about a week after that I started feeling depressed, so I guess that's the link. I used to be very very happy. My life hasn't changed except I'm no longer in high school. But then I don't get why I'm not happy anymore. I feel trapped, my life just seems pointless, everything feels pointless. I have a roof, family, I'm usually told I'm smart, I'm pretty, I have great friends and an awesome boyfriend, but all of that just doesn't really get to me, because I feel life is pointless. And I don't feel happy. Period. Will this feeling ever pass? I'm so desperate...! Would counselling really work? I really don't see a point in it...
