how could people not suspect that jeffrey dahmer was a serial killer? i saw a documentary on him, and one of his neighbors said that "he never bought groceries." wtf? if someone living next to me or in my neighborhood "never bought groceries," i'd be a little suspicious. and they also said that they smelled "a foul odor eroding from his apartment." come on! whenever i smell something foul like that, i never put anything past me. plus, i mean, he HAD to have some strange ways....and couldn't people from time to time hear victims crying out for help? do people know and just not care, or are they in denial, or just plain blind? its just like the BTK killer. how was his wife of thirty something years be married to him and not suspect A THING? again, WTF???? I know that some people are really good at masking and hiding themselves, but I think it would be pretty hard to conceal the fact that you're a sick, sadistic, psychopathic serial killer. these people should've seen it.

Serial killers tend to be very intelligent. This is why they are so dangerous to society. Dumb ones tend to get caught after the first murder. SKs understand their environment and normally won't do anything that will bring attention to themselves. They are smart enough to know what they can get away with or what they can't. So if you never brought groceries you are a profiled as a serial killer? Do you actually think that his diet only consisted of people? Dahmer picked victims that very few people would miss.

Jeffrey Dahmer I agree with you on but as for the BTK he did all his killings away from his wife and then still did totally normal things such as attend church so why would she suspect anything? Most serial killers lead "normal" lives and they don't look like monsters so no one would suspect them. Ted Bundy certainly led a normal life and no one had a clue for a long time.

I know what you mean. I like to think I'd notice something too. But you gotta remember - they get away with stuff because they are good at not drawing attention to themselves. (Decomp odors aside, that is.) Remember the movie The Aadams Family?? Wednesday called it right when she said that homicidal maniacs look just like everyone else.
The thing that I always questioned...Ted Bundy fakes a broken right arm. Acts like he needs help or whatever. Pretty girl comes along. Helps the poor guy with the cast. When they get to his car, it's a VW Beetle. I really have to believe I would have stopped and said to myself "How the hell is he driving a stick if his right arm is in a cast???"
