Here's what I think about God. I don't understand how someone so powerful and bright can create a world of ****** up people. We have wars, people get tortured for days, crazy shiit like that going on every day. What kind of love is that? All we ever do is work our whole freaking lives. I don't find any enjoyment in that! Being able to create a world but not happiness doesn't make any ******* sense to me. That's like saying you can run a mile but you can't walk a mile. According to God, there's eternal happiness in heaven. So if God can make eternal happiness then why can't he just do a simple task of placing us in it. It doesn't make any ******* sense. I agree with the previous poster about having to experience pain before you can appreciate happiness, but damn how long do you have to be punished!?!? You beat a dog's *** once or twice and he's potty trained for the rest of his life. You don't keep beating his *** every time he goes to the bathroom. He'll bite your *** one day. What do you expect? Everybody feels the way they do for a reason! If somebody needs to shed light on a situation so the person knows what the hell is going on, then speak up. We're in the dark here. People always give you the story about the man who had no shoes until he met the man who had no feet. Well, guess what? Everyone I know has a pair of ******* shoes. I feel for people who have miserable lives. People always say someone has it worse than you. If don't matter if someone is more screwed up than you. If you're screwed, you're screwed. It doesn't matter if you jump into a lava pool that is 10,000 F or 50,000 F, you're ******. Hell, at least you would die quicker in the 50,000 F lava pool. The whole christianity thing seems like a psychological tool to keep people in line. I hope there is a God and a method to his madness. I hope I live to regret what I am saying now. But I don't see how I could because I feel the way I do now for a reason, and someone like God would understand the way I feel. After all he created me. And hell doesn't make any sense to me. Eternally punishing people for the rest of their lives is something Satan would do. Is their no parole for people who go to hell? Surely, there must be a better course of action where everyone comes out winning. Speaking of parole, think about the innocent people who go to prison with rapist and murderers. What's up with that? I feel the way I do for a reason, bottom line. I hope I have to apologize for what I'm saying now because I would much rather be wrong and find eternal happiness than not apologize and keep living in a inhumane society. But then again it wouldn't be sincere because I feel the way I do for a reason. I can't emphasize that enough.

I think it was Butt-Head (from Beavis and Butt-Head) that put it the best: "How would you know if something was cool if nothing sucked?"

Without knowing misery, agony, pain, and suffering, we could not know joy, happiness, ecstasy, and nirvana. They would still exist, but they would be so common that we would never know that we are experiencing them.

And, if you want to bring God into the equation, you have to remember what happened in the Garden of Eden. Who was the one that threw it all away? Was it God, or was it Man? Adam and Eve knew no misery or agony until they disobeyed God.

Interesting idea of god committing suicide as a way to end all life. But this is about one life, mainly yours--and your quest to find what makes it meaningful. If indeed you are suffering, you might find meaning in your suffering (easier said than done, but Victor Frankl says it can be done). If the suffering is lifelong or if it is short term is relevant. Certainly there is meaning to be found if you look for it.

First of all, GOD would never commit suicide, and Secondly, if HE did, we would all certainly be in trouble. God's Word says that we are not to kill, AND suicide is killing yourself. God gave us the 10 Commandments to give us the guidelines to keep us from doing wrong and jeopardizing our eternal destination. Jesus Christ was not yet on the Earth when God gave Moses the 10 Commandments, so people alive before Christ would be judged, on Judgement Day, based upon their beliefs and their actions. The Bible stated that God is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, so if HE ever ceased to live, you better count on an eternity in Hell.

you cannot be in too much misery and agony...I mean you can read, write, I suppose think. You are not poor, well at least too poor because you have a computer or at least have Internet access nearby. There are people suffering alot more than you, so cheer up! Hugs- one size fits all!

Why people always blame God, maybe it is the devil who causes all the agony and misery. Or better yet, ourselves. Look at life at an angle, what do you see?
HINT: It's a trick question.

No offense meant to you, but do you know how egocentric this thought is? What good is life if YOU have to suffer...like you are somehow the glue that keeps this universe tightly woven together? Get over yourself and look for something greater.

Let me get this straight ... your life sucks, so you want to kill someone else to make your life feel better. We have mental wards and plenty of medication to keep people like you off the streets.
