Did you spend a long time about it? Or did you just decide to let go of the past? Do you feel like you haven't 'grown up'?

What great, and insightful question.

I'm now, joyfully so, 50. I 'grew up' at about age 37. That 'growing up' moment did not occur in very short period of time. It was more of an awareness and transitioning into process. I became more fully 'awakened', aware and 'grown-up' about age 46., I'm at a point now that when I look 'within myself' that I'm not so quick to 'jump out'. When I look within, I like what I see and smile.

All 'grown up' now ? No...still a wonderful journey...yet feel very aware and solid within my heart and mind. And, if 'being grown up' means being a 'stick in the mud' and 'flat liner' with life attitude. . . then I'd be blessed to never 'grow up'. Life if pretty cool.

Oh, and by the way . . . I never 'just let go of the past' as you phrased it. What I DID do was confidently " release " from the past that no longer suits my soul and heart growth.

Great question.

Way too young.

I felt like an "old person" when I was 8. I still do, a lot of the time. I'm 20 now. I hope that I'll get a chance to be a kid, somehow. I play with little kids every chance I get--it's like getting a little bit of a childhood back, just for an hour or two.

I've grown up a lot but I don't try to completely grow up because acting like a child is fun.

There is a twofold answer to this question for me. #1) I grew up fast as a child/young adult because my parents were not the best role models too put it nicely. #2) Although, I carried myself with more maturity than my age I still don't feel grown on a social level. There are many things left to do in order for the "kid" in me to move to the next level.

Mmmm i stopped thinkin bout this when i realised that the older you get the less you wanna grow up. i used to wonder what it wud be like to be say...21..then 30 but i know know just the body ages and responsibilities come(which dont necciserally make u grow up... just makes me wanna curl up and assume the womb possition!!) the mind stays the same! dont think our psyche ages1still like & will always like the same music etc...bring on the acid house tribute reunion bands! and pensioners shaking they're/our asses to reminiscent funky house radio! cant wait!

I may "grow old" but plan to never to grow up...life is too short to be a boring, cranky, old person. I'll take what life gives me and make the best of it. I hope you do too.
