You'd think by now we'd be ashamed of these problems instead of being ashamed of virginity. If broken families, STDs epidemics, and damaged emotions and relationships aren't enough motivators for a change then what is? Why don't people learn their lesson from the obvious? Sometimes even an oracle like myself gets baffled.

Hi there.. i'm a sophmore in college now. Last year i was smoking a lot of weed (by a lot i mean like a few gs a day). I did shrooms twice, but the 2nd time they were very very strong evne though I only did a small amount. I had a "bad trip." Now if I get high I have ovassional flashbacks to this trip - it is a very depressing mood where I feel like I'm wasting my life.

I think in the end it was good that this happened because it made me realize I have to stop smoking weed. Well I did and I'm 2 months clean. Only thing is a few beers on weekends but I don't destroy myself.

I feel great about my decision but it is hard because everyone around me is smoking a lot (my roommates). I'm not peer pressured by them but it is kind of akward seeing as though "normal life" doesn't involve lots of weed being readily available in your household. Am I in denial if I say that I wasn't addicted to weed?

Anyone have similar stories , or tips to give me?

clean and happy. Thanks)

Remember boy bands? Remember pop punk music or the teen comedy movie hysteria that dominated the culture of the time? Remember when MTV still played music by white people? How about Eminem? Barenaked ladies, Blink 182 (remember "Whats my age again"), Alice Deejay, Fatboy Slim? or "Hey now your an allstar" (played at almost every bowling alley at the time)! ....

Yes folks I'm talking about the good old days indeed: the 99-2002 era. I'll never forget those prosperous years. It's so hard to believe that I graduated from high school almost seven years ago (2000)! Time has flown by so fast, yet at such a slow pace. So much has happened since then.

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was all about fun and being cool. Life was carefree, no bills, very little stress, and absolute good times. Anybody here miss those wonderful years? If so please feel free to post your experiences, favorite bands/groups (remember the Spice Girls!) lol, most memorable moments of the time.

I've just been thinking about things lately...about how much I've changed since I was younger (I'm seventeen now). I think about the things I did for fun when I was like five, read encyclopedias, do math, build mouse traps, try to create companies (one was great but I had no capital), and I memorized and could draw by memory all of Africa, its countries' borders, and capitals and such when I was seven...and I just used to be so incredibly sharp mentally. Now I'm a seventeen year old, who has a 1.4 GPA, no friends, and spends hundreds of dollars on books he doesn't read because he spends all day just thinking. I'm a very strong person emotionally, but am also extremely emotional and in some ways lack emotional stability just by my nature. I'm by no means stupid, but I want to return to how I used to be ten years ago. I don't know how though....what can I do? And what has caused me to fall apart so much?

Is there any way to understand Artists emotional view, The way they see the life, or look at the life. Why majority of them are lonely, although they are very sensitive , nice people. Do they look at the life from diferent window, if so, then why, what makes them think this way. sometimes it seems like they enjoy being lonely and prefer calm life, or they can not get involved with the invironment, and unfear life so they prefer being lonly. where they could find their solmate, life Patiner.

Not a vampire like Dracula, but a person who saps your energy. Most people don't do this but every now and then I meet a person or they are in my circle of friends and as soon as I start talking to them I find myself completely drained of converstaion, of energy, of creativity - while they seem to explode with the same. I watch them with other people and find that soon enough the other person is just sitting there and the "vampire" is full of life. Have you ever met someone like that? Is it just in my mind or do some people have the ability to feed from another person's creative energy and somehow not give back?

If I said I could make you young again, remove all your disease so you could live to be 150, what would you do to get it? This is not merely hypothetical I can do this. So would you do nothing because you are too clever to be tricked by something that you think is impossible even though I could trace your computer and ban you from ever having access to the technology?
Would you be more afraid of being made a fool of than of actually receiving that gift? If you say you would need proof first then you havent read the question properly. Would you go running through the streets naked, or would you just give it up for fear of being made a fool of?

I had a panic attack on the third lane a few years ago, and now I cannot go on the freeway without feeling like I am going to pass out. I feel like such a psycho taking the side streets when it is more convenient to take the freeway. Has anyone had a similar experience and how do I get over this?
