If you get the blues deeply and often, you should see a doctor. You may have what they call chronic depression, which is caused by imbalance of chemicals in your brain. It can be fixed with medications that restore the balance.
If there is something wrong in your life, try to address it. Try to identify the problem and what's causing it. Then decide on a way to solve it, even if you need others to cooperate or help.
If it's just normal blues every now and then, the fix is easy. Get up off your bum and go do something nice for yourself. Get some satisfaction. Things you really enjoy. Treat yourself. It really works.

Listen to sermons and praise and worship songs.
Take a bubble bath; relax and listen to good music.
Watch comedy; talk to friends.
Volunteer or give advice to people on Answers.
The best way to forget your blues is to give and be a blessing to others. You will never forget the smile on their faces and the gratitude. It makes you want to cry (tear of joy).

I eat a forbidden food and it comforts me and makes me feel better, at least temporarily.
