These are new generation terminologies to get out of a bad situation. Instead of saying "I am sorry", say I was confused and I missed it means I did not care when you told the first time. Excuses..just plain excuses.

A very long time ago.
The condition of CONFUSION was started by someone who was so knowledgeable that he normally experienced only the condition of CERTAINTY.
He became bored. Decided to try something new. And created CONFUSION just to entertain himself.
Things were fine for awhile. And he was AMUSED.
Then, something happened and things got out of control.
Now. CONFUSION RUNS RAMPANT!!!

Since when is confusion an abnormal response? Take me for instance... I do not mean this unkindly... but bit more information to what you are referring to would take a lot of the confusion out of this question! Good luck!
