it was so cold last night i got into a dumpster and wrapped up in an old tossed mattress. smell worse as the night went on but i was cold. though it would make you gag. i fell asleep and woke up when the truck came to dump it. could no longer smell it. see people adapt. is that like evolution?

If a person thinks of something meaningless in the past, something negative and his heart starts to beat faster,he starts to feel guilty and ashamed, that feeling comes and goes, then the next day another thought like this occurs and so on.

For years I've had dreams about clenching my teeth so hard that they break and fall apart in my mouth. I am guilty of teeth clenching in real life, so it's no surprise to me that it's carried over to my dreams.
However, for the past month, I've developed a terrifying fear that my teeth are going to be knocked out. At work, I constantly go through situations in my mind that something will hit me in my mouth causing my teeth to be knocked out. Is this a phobia and if so, which one? It's not debilitating yet, but it's extremely disturbing to me.

I often feel guilt for no real reason at all. I feel that it may be because I feel like I don't belong, but I don't understand why not fitting in or having friends would make me feel guilty. Most of the time, I'm fine with not being around other people, but sometimes I have a feeling of overwhelming guilt with no way to get rid of it because I don't know what causes it in the first place.

My questions are: Is there a way to keep myself from feeling guilty? How do I get rid of the guilt if I start feeling it? And is it bad to feel guilty for no apparent reason?

My question is Based on an actual study on plants that grew and flourished, that listened to Classical, spiritual and jazz music. Should the walls in prison be painted pink to relieve anger and stress? Remember, these people will be coming back into the main stream public, don't you think it's worth a try?

Why can't I get my mind over this.Life just doesn't seem to be worth living.. I can't deal with fear so overwhelming that its debilitating.I go to therapist ,take meds and try hard everyday .At this moment i would rather be doing something other than just posting why questions and just can't seem to shake this fear of something happening.. What can I do to rid myself and get control of my life back.I don't want to live like this..I hate it.. Its sad and a a waste.. I want to think of happy things, laugh again, and not worry.. Why is this happening to me..?

Seriously, I over think EVERYTHING all of the time. I just need a way to stop everything in my head constantly chattering, it makes me almost paranoid sometimes. I just want to have fun but my brain won't let me, I can't go through with normal relationships because I'm in my head to much.

I have this thing where if something happens to side of me, the same thing has to happen to the other. For example, if I touch something cold with one hand, I have to touch it with the other hand. If I hit one hand, I have to inflict the same pain on the other. If I step on a carpet with one foot, I have to step on the carpet with the other. And the worst is when someone touches one arm, and I either ask them to touch the other arm in the same spot or quickly touch that spot on both arms with another object. It's messed up. I hate it. It's not that I think something bad is going to happen if I don't do these things. And sometimes I think it is maybe an obsession with symmetry, but I part my hair on the side and that doesn't seem to bother me! Any idea what my deal is? Any suggestions for help?

Do you think this is the opposite of giving the benefit of the doubt? Meaning you doubt something about someone, so you're going throw out any chances for the person or you doubt someone would do something... What is your interpretation of that line?

As a psychology student, I have read a lot of research saying that many young (20-something) couples are living together before marriage and that it is a positive trend which helps improve the couple's chance at avoiding divorce. I am wondering what experience you have had with living together before marriage or not?

I am currently in a serious relationship. We've been together for over 2 years and we literally fit like puzzle pieces together. For various reasons, I have ended up staying in his family's home for a month to three months at various times. It always goes well in terms of privacy and personal space. I don't have a car, so we REALLY had to share a lot of time during our busy schedules.

I am curious to hear what other college age people, as well as long-married adults, all have to say about this? Any specific positive or negative experiences?
