Several years ago, my wife and I had seen a martial counselor and the counselor mentioned that my flaw/problem in the relationship is that I'm not open to vulnerability. What could the counselor mean or what does that mean for me? If my wife looks for me to be the "strong" one in the relationship, is it possible to be vulnerable and strong? Is this in opposition to masculinity? And why or why not?

I have never been able to understand math, and i really do try very hard i have outstanding notes and i study, etc. And i have a tendency even after checking my work over and over to miss little things. Also, when I'm doing the class work or the homework i feel confident, because it feels like I'm doing it right, but then, i come to the test and don't do good at all?
is there a possibility I'm somehow dyslexic in math?

My BF was off cigarettes for over a year and has gone back on them since November. He smokes about 15 a day. He seems alot grumpier and more touchy since then, unlike the man I fell in love with . Could it be from the cigarettes again? I wasn't with him when he smoked before so I can only base it on now. He doesn't smoke drugs. All serious answers welcome.

I've had plenty of nightmares where I was gonna die, but right before it happened, i woke up, every time.. I once had a dream where I was already dead, and I was in heaven....But I've never dreamed the actual dying part. Is it impossible to dream your own death? if so, why?

I think that the saying "you can't love anyone else until you love yourself" is so cliche. I don't think it is true at all. I think it is very possible to love and respect someone even if you hate yourself. I believe that if you truly love someone, that you will do your best to make them happy. If you can hide it well, then the person you love won't be affected by your self-hate, or low opinion of yourself. Who agrees? I think too many people say the aforementioned phrase because it just sounds like the right thing to say.

Hello,
I am 31 years old and at one time life held promise for me. I had a great job, car and despite my retarded upbringing, I was destined for success. Then I screwed it all up. I was depressed so i quit my job and ended up on a disability pension because of severe depression and anxiety. I crashed the car I worked so hard to pay off and I didn't have insurance anymore. Now I'm stuck in this house thats miles away from town so I have no way to get anywhere. I have gained weight and smoke cigarettes and I'm also a pot-head. Even the house I Iive in is a write-off. I get so sick of being stuck here that I give up on cleaning it. So now I sit here, with my house a disaster feeling fat and stoned and useless and hopeless. I KNOW I need to change but it's so hard to know where to start!!

Are all people in the world same? I'm very frustrated to live in my country, which is very poor and I don't like its mentality. I think that I deserve to live in some other country. What to do, I can't move out?? How to prevent that kind of thinking? I sometimes imagine that I live in the U.S.
